Being part of the SU2 beta was not a negative experience for me.  From day one through two thirds of the beta I couldn't run SU2 successfully for more than a minute.  Often the sim would crash before

SU2 is a good step in the right direction for msfs 2024.  It's not rock solid but it brings vast improvements to performance, avionics, efb, ATC, and there one thing fixed I really liked - rotating beacons are finally visibile at night (broken since MSFS 2020).

Additionally on the painter side. The dynamic registration should be pretty fixed.  Just change it to what you want in the menu.  If you want nothing to show just backspace it out and press enter and it should not display over hand painted reg.

Isn't that a setting you could already change?

I've looked around but haven't found anything that actually fixes it. Do you have a link by any chance?

You have 3090.. So no Framegen before this. So ofcourse you are seeng massive improvement.

Other than that it is performance regresion by tons of reports in beta. Including me with 4090. Massive stutters. They just ignored all the panic reports in beta for 2 weeks and just released it today. Its unbelivable.

Can you file an IFR flightplan now with default ATC?

I am keeping an open mind on this. They said early on in the beta that extra debugging code will impact performance.

I am going to replicate some of the flights I know were a stutter fest tonight to see.

What are you talking about?  I'm on a 4080 and don't see any of that - I've been on the beta since the beginning.  It's fairly smooth as long as you don't max TLOD with tons of older addons.  2020 scenery addons deplete VRAM because they're using DDS textures.

They turned that off after the very first beta, it's been dreadful performance for me ever since...!

Not seeing this, I was not in the beta and I get 95-100 fps at Inibuilds EGLL in their A35K v1.0.10. Perfectly happy with that.
