  • I like REX.  I just don't know though on those 2 shots... the one on the bottom looks really edited on my monitor.  Maybe its because I dont use HDR and only run at 1440p. I think the atmosphere

  • What would be nice is if it changed dynamically. I don't know if it's possible, but back in the days of REX on P3D I changed the sky color at dawn during the day as well as the sunset so as not to hav

I've been happy with Atmos on 2020, but do we really need this with 2024?

I'm hoping there is some sort of discount for people who already own 2020 Atmos.

Yeah i think there should be a discount as it was released about 2 months before 2024 release. If not, then i will stick to reshade. Not buying a product from rex probably for a long while. Add that to a long list. Again, my opinion.

This in 2024 with something like Filou's 2020 settings would make me quite happy.

Yep.. Picking this one up. Missed the 2020 boat on Atmos i think i will try it out for 2024.

Strange! It shows how subjective this is as I see it the other way around with the after picture being much more natural / life like.

In any case, I was generally pleased with it in 2020.

I think the atmosphere in 2024 is already really realistic for my area in the USA.  We usually have clean air (except lately thanks Canada!) and overall I find 24 to be accurate from sunrise to sunset and everything in between.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We completely understand how subjective visuals can be especially when comparing screenshots. What looks natural to one person may not appeal to another, and that's exactly why Atmos CORE gives users full control. The before/after images currently on our site is just a small peek. Much more information is coming as we near release.

Atmos CORE is not a post-processing filter like ReShade, this distinction was thoroughly discussed when the original Atmos was first introduced for MSFS 2020. It's a deep integration that controls and enhances visual and atmospheric data at a core sim level, which goes beyond LUTs or post-processing overlays.

As for MSFS 2024 it’s stunning out of the box no doubt. But many users still want a way to fine-tune things for personal aesthetic preferences. That’s where Atmos CORE shines.

Regarding pricing, yes we’re planning a discount for existing Atmos customers. We agree it’s only fair especially for those who’ve supported us. Details will be shared soon.

Atmos CORE isn’t just about visuals, it’s about control, customization, and community-shared environments.

I loved the REX products in P3D but in MSFS I'm afraid I am at a slight loss, despite the marketing, as to what exactly REX Atmos does. Does it add different cloud types, rather than the uniform cumulus cloud that MSFS currently models? How I long to see a cirrus cloud or a proper CB in my sim again!

If you want proper CB's modelled correctly...XP12 is the way to go. Clouds and the atmosphere is far more realistic than MS2024...and that from a IRL pilot and meteorologist.

Tim, will Atmos Core for 2024 have a live weather feature and inject what is needed to match live weather?

Looking forward to thsi as i bought the 2020 version a while back thinking it would work with 2024... der! LOL

Cheers
