And similar other first reports from what I can see.. anyone else able to expand on new landing dynamics, flare, ground handling etc in MSFS 2024? handling is massively different. The team have done an outstanding job. There has clearly been a ton of work in so many areas. I have done a few short flights around the UK. Taxi feels completely different and much more convincing. I also don't get the slewing effect I used to have braking in taxi. Rock steady. Much more stable in turns and just generally less slippery. The taxiways are not icy anymore 😉 I have found the takeoff roll to be significantly more stable and I didn't have to fight as hard in a crosswind to maintain the centreline. Same on landing, braking and centreline tracking was much less of a fight and it felt that I was much more in control of the aircraft. Flare logic was the one big change I was looking forward to and I was not disappointed. Taking a bit of getting used to. Will take a few days to change my habits, but the float seems to have gone away. Previously I either hit the ground like a brick or floated like a feather. Now I actually land the thing 🙂 I am already spotting quite a few nuanced changes in systems and a few changes in MCDU logic and expect I will find more. All in all I am both grateful to the team and impressed. That flare logic was the huge one for me, so thank you Fenix team! Jane - Jane Whittaker
July 28, 2025Jul 28 Speaking of liveries, I don't see any of my liveries, just the default Fenix livery. I have done things correctly as far as I can tell 1. Used the new installer to install liveries 2. Deleted the old ones completely 3. I see the liveries in my community folder, inside this structure C:\MSFS2024\Community\fnx-aircraft-320-liveries\SimObjects\Airplanes\FNX_32X\liveries\fnx\sas-oy-kam-5a07\ I see that MSFS 2024 shows the liveries folder in My Library as installed. So what am I missing? Why aren't the liveries showing up in the sim? Edited July 28, 2025Jul 28 by JonathanC 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Yes, Take of roll and rotation is much smoother with easier centre line tracking than before. The inertia feels real too with not to much sensivity yet easily controllable. Similar feel with taxiing using the tiller. Great job by Fenix
July 28, 2025Jul 28 Just did my first flight, takeoff with a crosswind was so refreshing. Just felt so much better was able to easily track centerline with consistent rudder input vs previously varying between over and under correcting. New sounds are great too, Love the color correction on the displays, feels so much better. Nick Running
