August 5, 2025Aug 5 Are there any CPDLC experts here? I'm currently flying US ops and most carriers there don't have the DCDU installed. Does that mean these aircraft are just not capable of CPDLC or should they still get the clearances via the AOC pages on the MCDU? I can request a PDC via the AOC page and then the ATC alarm flashes on the panel, but despite getting a message on the MCDU AOC page that "request received" I don't get any clearance there. So does CPDLC work without a DCDU via MCDU AOC pages or how do US carriers do it otherwise?

Ta- C Can you try rolling back to v1986 via the red dot in the installer next to the previous version? I'd be interested to know if that clears your sound stutters. To add, this is the first report I've seen of sound stutters related to either BFU or Patch 1, but will monitor for sure. Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by FNX_Dave

I had reported that the A320 CFM engine sound was too loud during takeoff. I noticed that with patch 1 it was not fixed. Is it possible that the engine sound in the cockpit during take-off is more intense than the sound experienced by passengers next to the front engine? i'm with MSFS 2020 Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by LIML2020

Simply click the little icon on your installer, right next to Fenix A320 Base Pack that looks like a little fork almost. Enter: bfu-sound-fixes-2, and then click OK and update your install. August 5, 2025Aug 5 Anyone find - GLS - symbology missing... I tried - GLS Y 25L - at Frankfurt EDDF a couple times.... ...and the plane tries to land too short, before the Piano Keys. (If keep AP on past MDA) Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by aerostar

Thank you for the prompt response, I tried the new option and found the A320 CFM sound in takeoff from the cockpit view still too loud compared to the passenger (front engine) view and compared to the videos. It will definitely improve, thanks again for your excellent work. Edited August 5, 2025Aug 5 by LIML2020
August 5, 2025Aug 5 Just wanted to see if this is still an issue for others, but when you specify an initial descent IAS on the perf page, does your plane still default to that specific IAS as soon as it starts descending instead of descending with the specified mach setting then switching over to IAS when they match? I remember bringing up this issue previously but not sure if the updated vnav was supposed to fix that or even if it is a bug.
August 5, 2025Aug 5 Just on a side note, regarding flying the A320 in SU 3 Beta: Until now I always had the impression that up and down drafts in rain clouds only really affect small planes like the 172. But today I was silly enough to try to approach EDDP 26R in really terrible weather. I captured GS at 3000 ft but catched a hefty up-draft which resulted in an overspeed warning. I stupidly continued just for the heck of it and got several windshear warnings just before touchdown. Very impressive. I will never do that again!
August 5, 2025Aug 5 This may be s simple fix, or even user error, but since the update I can't get the comm radio's to work. They're just black screens.

You may not get all those warnings, but during the day in summertime, Asobo's exaggerated and unrealistic modelling of thermals and turbulence wreaks havoc with any aircraft. That worked! Thank-you!! Flying without sound stutters, noticing the changes, appreciate the team's efforts. There are some issues with Panel and Pedestal lighting, however I know it’s a WIP. The sound did not spasm whatsoever. There is a bit of engine sound looping but the stuttering is gone! Ta- C Edited August 6, 2025Aug 6 by cavaricooper Best- Carl Avari-Cooper

I just tried the A320 sounds and the wind noise is much more realistic now. Does not sound like there is a huge blower fan in the cabin. Engine sounds are great also.
August 10, 2025Aug 10 I managed only today to do my first flight with the BFU update, the PFD and ND refresh rate is really poor now after the update on my side, nothing else changed, is this happening to other?
