Yeah if it's this silly I agree.  That being said it's common irl at medium to smaller airports to have airport vehicles on taxiways and even runways occasionally

I work at an airport, and I’m often in my car on the taxiways, runways, and parking areas. My team and I maintain the ILS, VOR, and DME systems at TFFF (Fort-de-France Airport).

But there are tons of other jobs happening on the airfield too

Safety and security personnel, firefighters, fuel services, companies that handle VIP and private jet operations (sorry, I don’t know the English term for those), ground service providers, catering companies…

Basically, every time I request clearance from the tower, there’s always another vehicle already on frequency.

So no, I’m not bothered by the number of vehicles in MSFS!

I think it's more that they just run into your plane.  That's what people are annoyed it

What I don't like is when there are pushback tugs at tiny airports haha.  Most the time you're lucky to find a bathroom at a rural airport.

Yeah that’s true, I also don’t like it when there is a guy with it’s tiny pushback just in front of my GA plane, hope Asobo improves the logic behind ground véhicule. But I like having them around, an airport is a lively place

I believe they made optimizations on the main thread by changing scenery loading and rendering in this build. I have much better FPS at large airports in VR. But it does result in seeing objects render in as you turn your head such as ground assets and detail level. Candidly, I find it an acceptable tradeoff to maintain reasonable performance in scenes with loads of objects that need to be rendered.

Anyone else having a similar experience?

Hmm my volume for Other Aircraft and Environment got set to Zero after this beta, i was wondering why i couldnt hear Ai traffic and that the airports were dead silent lol.... just FYI if anyone is experiencing the same...

Really enjoying this beta, even RJTT is silky smooth with full traffic 10's in BATC after i disabled the worldwide Helipads

They forgot to include the new fauna, passive aircraft, and vehicle traffic options in VR.  I made a report at the their forums about it.  And, I say forgot because as usual it's VR so they forgot!  Got Xbox taken care of though!

Are they there for 2D settings? besides the patch notes did state;

- Added a graphic settings for fauna density, airport vehicle density, character density and ground aircraft density on Xbox

I believe there is a quick YouTube video on how to remove the small marshal/tug for small airports.. easy to do.. ill try and find the link as most annoying for sure!

There's a freeware addon that does just that at flightsim.to

I'm getting the GPU / VRAM warning flashing up a lot in this Beta.  I never had it before, not even once!
I tried lowering LOD from 300 to 200 but it still kept flashing up.
Not sure what other things to adjust as the message just says lower your graphics settings.
I wish Asobo would give us some guidance - which ones are the best ones to lower?

I hope Asobo can sort out the VRAM issue or it will become like the FSX OOM issue.

I'm going to reboot the PC before the next session and try going in completely fresh.

Are you joking Cyril?    I thought we are striving for realism in the sim.

I get tankers charging at me down the taxiway.  I have to decide whether to go around them or through them.

I don't see aircraft going around them in real life.  And certainly not through them, unless they are filming a 'Die Hard' movie!

You can't use TLOD 200 on the ground at large airports if you have "only" 16 GB of VRAM. The only way to keep TLOD sufficiently high to avoid blurry textures once you're airborne is with AutoFPS. I set it to have TLOD 50 below 1,000 ft and TLOD up to 200 as the framerate allows (I set a limit of 60 fps with FG and I always have full TLOD in cruise). It increases gradually as you climb, without (additional) stutters.

BTW to comment also your post below, I find the whole "moving objects" situation in pathetic conditions. Asobo promised improvements over the mess of MSFS but IMHO the situation is even worse in '24: we have vehicles wandering everywhere, jetways not reaching aircraft, planes taking off in all directions and not climbing, people walking under the aircraft as we start engines...

The thing that bugs me is that by featuring deer and daisies they hinted on the fact that everything else was in check. Flora and fauna should be just the icing on the cake on an already PERFECT product. Who would dedicate time and efforts to that when the rest is so buggy and unfinished?

They even advertised animal migrations... when they are unable to make aircraft takeoff from the runway in use.

Apart from that, the only animals that matter in the aviation world are birds. Have you ever spotted birds? Have you ever experienced a bird strike?

I have totally lost the trust in Asobo and their capability and will to fix things. I stopped watching their video interviews on the development. It's all marketing BS.

And yes, I know that "the others" aren't better. It must be great to make cars with an unlimited budget if your competition is Trabant and Lada. In these conditions, the customer has no power (but we still have voice thanks to the forums, at least).

It's not the road traffic itself roaming the aprons and taxiways (runways closed for maintenance is ok too) that people are bothered about. It's the complete RANDOMNESS of their behaviour that's so frustrating. Except the tug do ANY of them have specific tasks to do other than wander aimlessly?

Every vehicle should be tied to a facility or not exist. As Cyril said doing maintenance on nav installations is a good example. Easier to code too than having to decide who goes where. It would be amazing to see a little guy or lass exit a terminal building, hop in a white van, drive in front of my plane respectfully all the way to some ugly building then hop out and start cleaning it. Imagine if the sim actually had living breathing airports which closed runways for several hours to remove a burning tire and perform surface check for example. Or tow a plane some simmer had forgot to fuel correctly off the threshold.

I dream of course in the meantime we need better sliders and toggle switches.

Thanks Fuzzy!  Looks like I will have to give AutoFPS a try.

Ignore it, half the time it flashes up for no reason whatsoever. It's a nuisance inclusion that still doesn't work correctly and there's still no way to hide it, typical Asobo nonsense.
