Come on, seriously....who cares.....

If you want to tip......tip.  If not, don't.

Why be so dramatic about it?  To the point where you won't buy anything from them because there's a tip section at checkout.  Give me a spell.

You’re cool with all your purchases concluding with a ‘Would you like to give me some more money?’?

Ah ok, that other meaning of the word 'tip'. I figured they were asking for a piece of advise, lol. A bit strange to ask for extra money like this, I agree.

Precisely, zero harm in it if you don't want to give them extra don't the choice is yours. If you do then have at it, yet more drama over nothing.

There may be no harm in it, but I find it a bit crass to ask for tips. Oh, and whilst we are on the subject, restaurants in the US should pay their staff a decent wage rather than expecting them to "make up the difference" with tips.

As someone pointed out, it might just be a default setting in the payment system they are using, but no harm done anyway - I will just ignore it and not stress about it.
