MSFS2024 SU4 Beta v1.6.13

Performance has been unbelievably good with SU4 and I noticed further improvements across the first 2-3 builds. The thing that gets me frustrated is all the stuff they started to break in the last 2 builds that was just fine before. The latest one with the broken ground textures makes me consider grounding my sim until the next build. Sadly I can't go back to SU3 either as that was unplayable for me performance wise.

Yeah, just wait it out for the next build if it bothers you that much. I got over it quickly, it's annoying but a very obvious bug which will be fixed for sure - because if it isn't before release, can you imagine the outcry 🙂

Apparently turning off PG fixes it. Makes you wonder if anyone actually opens the sim and tests before they push out those builds.

No broken ground textures for me even with PG enabled. Everything looks fantastic and performance is sublime. Only issue I see are with static aircraft and I’m confident that will get fixed.

Marketplace and My Library is much improved in this update. I am quite happy with SU4 Beta and where the sim is at now.

Yes, it seems to have fixed itself? Maybe a server thing? I still see some flickering, but no longer see the large patches with the satellite image bleeding through

Wow this beta version has surprised me. It runs very well with my mid range rig (7900X3D, 64GB DDR5 and a RTX 4070). Best performance and smoothness I've seen in a long time, even gsx vehicles almost don't stutter anymore (haven't seen this since the p3d). Hope asobo realizes what they've fixed regarding simconnect.

Some of us stopped wondering long ago.

This beta build is really good. Truly feels like they have finally!! cracked the performance issues.

The ILS on the Cessna 406 has gone AWOL again.

Performance seems pretty good, certainly not worse than the previous build. I'm sitting in the A380 at Ini EGLL, 4K Ultra, traffic from FsHud, Live weather, Framegen on.

A380 Cockpit - 50-55 fps

A350 External view - 75-85 fps
A350 Cockpit - 70 -75 fps.

These are some of the heaviest (in terms of FPS) aircraft, in an extremely detailed payware airport, with basically everything turned on and at Ultra. And it's perfectly smooth. I haven't done any flights yet, but just flying around the airport with the drone.. smoooooth.

How about landing at Heathrow? I see really bad panning and taxi stutters, although the fps remains at 60. Departing Heathrow, everything ssmooth, like you.

It still astounds me that given Asobo track record of releases, people still willingly subject themselves to beta testing 😄

PG off fixes the texture bleed through on airports, hope next beta this is fixed.

SU3 made the sim unusable for me as I had constant stutters and abysmal performance even after a complete system reinstall.

SU4 has amazing performance but the last 2 builds had lots of regressions and introduced annoying bugs. So for me it’s a choice between an unusable sim on SU3 or a stellar performing but bugged SU4.

Well, in my case FS 2024 has never been so good as it is now in SU 4 1.6.13.0

Smooth, stable at 30 fps as I limit it using Rivatuner.

I use TAA for AA, Photogrammetry is OFF, clouds are at HIGH, LOD and TLOD at 75.

You may find these stiings rather limited, but I'm on the rig in my sig, so I couldn't ask for more... And indeed even with traffic and ATC being pumped by either BATC or FSHUD + FSLTL Injector, it performs way better than any other flight simulator I have used so far for the level of detail achieved. Yes X-Plane 12, my other sim, is also smooth as silk but I have to cut even more on some settings and the World detail can't really compare...

I done the whole reset cahce, delete dx files etc and ran the update with an empty community folder by renaming it, I've been to YSSY and VHHH so far no floating or sinking jetbridges or weird artifacts on the ground. Will test further tommorrow at other parts of the world.
