Nothing wrong with second tier if it satisfies your requirements.

Apparently turning off PG fixes it. Makes you wonder if anyone actually opens the sim and tests before they push out those builds.

Absolutely! 'Good enough' is all relative.

Which is why there are so many disagreements on the forums.  Different expectations.

Being from an Aerospace background with a bit of OCD I know I tend to be a bit over-critical.
But I do actually appreciate what we currently have at the price we have paid, and the work they do.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

After reading all these comments, i cant help but wonder what the end game is for Asobo? In that, where do they want to the sim to be at the end of all the sum updates? I'm not really sure of the road map to be honest, but how much further will they need to develop MSFS2024 before they call it good? Just curious...

2024 is good, really good; for me. I can't really judge what's happening in other people's sim but from my perspective it's excellent...

Out of sheer curiosity, it doesn't bothers you just flew through that huge a** CB and sailed out like nothing ?

Don't you think such thing should be a hazard ?

This version is working quiet well on both my MSFS 24 pc’s.

Ground textures look sharp, nice looking clouds and all objects sharp

The only 2 things I encounter:

- when flying with my Prosim 738 is that from 28000 ft and upwards the plane starts to rock up/down.
The higher I fly the more severe it gets..

- nightlighting does not work correctly on extra external views ( extra view monitor )

I assume you don't use default ATC or have any AI aircraft enabled.  Otherwise, you would HAVE to see the glaring issues in those areas.

Thats my issue, Simconnect is having issues and freezing 24 If it injects traffic. In SU3 no issues at all. Thus I'll wait until SU4 is further along.

Just give them eye-candy and they are good.

Exactly ! The fact he just showed this video as how excellent it is, while he went though that monster CB without a hitch, not even raindrops btw, just shows that people are easily bought with eyecandy stuff. Not to mention that this is the exact missing clouds behavior since MSFS !

Exactly!  I fly SU3 every day.  NO ISSUES.  I luv to hear the folks who try to convince me that I do.  They provide the entertainment value here on AVSIM. 😉

WOWW, will this Simulator ever be ready or at least to a state we have for MSFS2020 at now ??

Think i have to wait another year to jump in to the MSFS2024 boat..🤪

cheers 😉

My issue is primarily a simconnect issue. Other than that it seems to run fine. But, not running things that require it (Simconnect) makes the sim to quiet and boring for me. Visually its great.

It already is IMO. I dropped 2020 in December, no regrets.

Working fine here for me with BeyondATC + Traffic. That uses simconnect. I also have Volanta and LittleNavMap running, which also use SimConnect.

I have had freezes, but only when SayIntentions was also running. I haven't renewed my sub for that, so it isn't an issue anymore

Does it 'bother' me? No. Things that really bother me are war, starvation, crime, corruption, children in the developing world dying from preventable disease,  etc.  I find it difficult to get too worked up about the perceived flaws in a piece of £60 entertainment software.

My point in posting was to reassure people who don't yet have this sim that despite some of the comments they may see here, for many people it works very well indeed. It's smooth, stable and very enjoyable.

I note Jorg stated last night that in the three months since their last developer live stream the number of users of 2024 has grown by some five hundred thousand.

As to my views on the weather system in MSFS; I would much prefer if the whole thing was given a thorough going over in a dedicated WX SU.

Why the need to insult your fellow forum users? Does it bother you that you both come over as a couple of key board warrior pricks?

Agreed.

The sim is VERY enjoyable and works great. Yes, if you want, you can go around the globe finding a place where the textures aren't great or whatever, but I personally prefer to fly around the globe and have fun.

If you want "gotcha" moments, and that is fun for you.. well sure, have fun being a negative person. But if you just want to have fun flying around an amazing high fidelity rendition of the ENTIRE WORLD, in many, many, high quality aircraft, then 2024 (esp. SU4) works great.

I would just ignore the keyboard warriors who have nothing better to do than insult other people for their choices.
