  • fantastic if you ask me, but then I fly exclusively VR and GA airplanes only. 45 fps and no stutters it is the best experience I ever had, fps went up 30% from 35 to 45 (Pimax Crystal Light) now

  • I can't get rid of panning stutters with the last couple of beta builds. I've cleared my nvidia caches, rolling cache, I'm using the latest nvidia 581.94 hotfix driver. I've tried clean community

And imgur is quick and easy to use with no signup.

Exactly. If you’re gonna ask people to change their host, then at the very least link a suitably convenient alternative…

Does that work? I've used that before, it's as easy as imgur

I use ShareX (screenshot + automatic flow upload, then put the url in the clipboard) and imgur is integrated seamlessly. Unfortunately, it seems imgbb is not.

I had no stutters in VR for months. After reading thread, I just took a flight in 2D (1440p). Zero stutters. When I go to external view and throw the hat left and right it revolves the view exactly as if I was dragging the mouse. The plane spins round and round as long as I keep holding hat to the side. And fps readout stays exactly the same all the while. I can't make it stutter when panning.

For a couple years or so, the only time stutters happened for me, going to the sound settings and changing things there always cured them right up. If Asobo techs, like me, don't see stutters, then it's hard for them to try and fix it for those who have stutters.

I agree. it seems the ones who have it, really have it!

I use a focusrite scarlett 2i4 sound source and I only use its audio drivers. I never install the nvidia HD audio drivers to avoid conflicts.

In the past, I have swapped to the hd audio drivers and had sound piped through my monitor speakers but it made no difference to the stuttering

Imgur is not available in the UK: because the company chose to block access for users in response to potential fines from the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) over data collection and age verification practices, particularly concerning children's data

I think the above is a factual summary of the situaion. Imgur decided to withdraw from the UK and therefore not comply with the Online Safety Act (OSA), which requires age verification for under 18s. I understand they were under investigation before the OSA was implemented.

Comrade Keir just wants to protect my impressionable eyes from the disaster that is MS2024 terrain LOD degradation

Had a bit of a stutterfest last night with this build too - the previous one was better and the one before even better still. It does seem to be related to camera panning - when clicking to wing views particularly, there's a huge lag. Otherwise it's shaping up well, although I'd love to disable grain to help the pixellated clouds and also lens flare as I feel sometimes I'm in a JJ Abrams movie.

I have the problem that with the last couple of builds, I get severe stutters when I first install the build. Then after using it a couple of times, the stutters somehow disappear. I deleted shaders, sound drivers and what not, but there seems to be no proper fix. Very strange. Performance is in general very inconsistent.

How is everyone's terrain looking?  I had such a dreadful flight last night, flying over the Alps was like a creamy carpet of mush, and this has been going on for a few days.  I'm wondering if it's their end or my end.  Should  40mpbs download be sufficient for MSFS2024?  It's with a heavy heart that I'm reinstalling 2020.

This is not what I need to hear. I am intending to upgrade to MSFS 2024 when my new PC arrives, so all issues need to be sorted out by then

I've just dropped £2,500 on a new rig and it looks absolutely dreadful.  Like flying over a pea soup with cream.  Performs well though!

And granted, I don't know if my 40mbps is sufficient for MS2024, so I'm reinstalling 2020 to see if there is a difference.

Personally I wouldn't consider MSFS with a 40 mbps download. Asobos requirements maybe very optimistic and need more in the real world
