January 20Jan 20 No, I still keep FS2020 on my computer. Why? It's stable. If changes made in some future update to FS24 booger things up, I can instantly revert to FS2020 (or XP12, or P3Dv5). I also have a fair number of payware FS2020 sceneries that do not work in FS2024, and I'm remiss to re-purchase or pay to upgrade those that I don't frequent, but may still want to visit on occasion. January 20Jan 20 No. I intend on keeping 2020 indefinitely, just in case any of the updates to 2024 render it broken or degraded. That way I'll always have one that I can fall back on, if needed. 32GB DDR4 3200Mhz i7-9700K RTX 3060 12GB GDDR6

January 20Jan 20 I bought a new computer about a year ago, and I installed 2024 (only) and didn't install 2020. I suppose I could install 2020 if I needed to, but I've been happy with 2024.

Do I need this legacy simulator on my system for nostalgic revists in the future?? What did you do? How much space did you free up on your HD? I don’t use it at all but I left it installed. I did uninstall all the World Updates and almost all the addons, whether 1st or 3rd party. so, theoretically, I have a backup sim to use in the event 2024 has major issues. but really, XP or DCS would be the fallback it’s also less of an issue to deal with all the Orbx content as it still sees v2020. I can’t remember exactly how much space that freed up, but along the lines of several hundred gigs. BUT, most of that went right back to the v2024 versions of the same addons 😉 So, IIRC, it’s taking up about 200gb on the system. But I haven’t missed it at all.
January 20Jan 20 I had no say in deleting 2020. For some reason it was gone one day after fiddling around with dlss 4.5 for 2024. I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD

January 20Jan 20 Since I can use the 2024 PMDG 737 for my home cockpit I do not need 2020 anymore. I deleted most 2020 addons but keep it just in case. i have enough M.2 space so it is not necessary to eliminate it.
