Yes, you’ve confirmed you have the problem also … very easy to spot when you stop zooming in 😉

As a guy who spends every six months in Level D sims, the weather  in 2024 is miles better than how it looks in a real sim.  First off there is no live weather in a real sim, so it’s all presets.

So, first real go on SU5, it's recognising my Fulcrum yoke as a f*cking Tobi, so it's unuseable 😞

I have a Fulcrum yoke and it is still recognized as such. I know some people have had issues with controller assignments and bindings changing, but that has never happened on my installation. All the controller assignments I made when 2024 first came out have never changed in all the subsequent SUs.

I'm not following you here - what is the problem?  Thought the video was great.

This looks great mate.  Nice.

Thanks for sharing and each of those AI aircraft had full undercarriage showing from what I could see.

Yup, same as what I see, nothing but wheels, wheels and more wheels.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

No wheels (not zoomed in) on both the smaller aircraft.

Only a tiny little bit zoomed in, both smaller aircraft magically are provided with undercarriage.

I would be interested in your graphics settings, because I don't have the disappearing landing gear issue or lod pops up issues.

Open browsers can eat more memory.  FWIW I don't run office on my gaming PC.  I do believe in separating work PC from play, but more because of security.  Many places have policies against people working on their own devices for a reason.  Easier to have a dedicated work laptop that I can swap signals to anyway.  Outlook can be a pig when running (it is notorious for this), so just don't run it?

You do realize that there's a huge difference between a program installed vs running?

I'm on a work PC (with all the "junk" running as you call it) and I have zero memory issues.  Of course you should keep your gaming PC lean as possible, but your fascination with Office is interesting.

My big issue with you is you keep making different points regarding antivirus.  At times you seem to say all av is bad, however in your video you gave the good advice to just run MS Defender and dump the overpriced payware options.  This is why I have a problem with your advice, you aren't always specific.  I don't want people to turn off ALL antivirus, including the built in Defender.

Leaving people exposed to ransomware is just dangerous.  The average user won't know what to do when something like this pops up on their system.  I get calls from so many people asking, "How do I buy bitcoin?".  It is always the same thing - "when did your PC get hacked?".  It is never fun being the person to tell them they need to wipe their system and lose everything (either they don't have backups, or the backups get encrypted too).

the average user doesn't know how to avoid scams and pop ups, thus the average user are the ones having issues on fs2024

With all due respect you seem to know little of which you speak.  Anyone in todays world who negates using anti-virus has no business telling people how to run or improve their PC.  YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies,

then what on earth is the cause of "everyone" not being able to run fs2024 well? I mean yea, the ones who can run fs2024 great, usually don't post much (me included) because we are busy just flying not complaining about it... so I am in that camp so it only leaves the impression that "nobody" can run this thing, which other than self induced ooopsses myself, basically no issues

Exactly the kind of person who NEEDS antivirus running all the time.

This is why I want you to be more specific and clear on your point.  When you say to dump things like McAfee and use the default Defender?  That's good!  I'm on board with that.  I echo that.

However turning off antivirus completely is a pet peeve of mine, and yes, vendors will tell you do to it too and I stand up to them too.

As an aside, anyone not familiar with John McAfee, google his story.  A sad, but interesting story.

Ditto here.  I was an Information Security Officer for a major firm in the PNW for 15 years followed by my pre-retirement 3 year stint as Information Security Officer at a major city in the state of WA.  Enterprise Class, multi-location network.  Windows 10/11 footprint.  ALWAYS had AV on.  For years at the major firm we used Norton, then switched to McAfee (reduced cost, not improved features).  Finally at the City we were quick to leverage Windows Defender after similar usage of McAfee and found that without a doubt Defender was and is the best AV solution for the Windows Platform bar none.  If you don’t use Defender on your Windows PC you are missing out on the very best, least intrusive AV ever produced for Windows, spending money needlessly and also putting yourself at unnecessary risk IMO.   YMMV. Here are the stills that clearly shows he HAS the issue with culled landing gear on the AI plane:

None of the above planes show visible landing gear, except the main landing gear of the A330.

Of course, the moment he zooms in, the landing gear gets visible, but in the default cockpit point of view, they are simply not.

Some see this, others obviously not.
