At least you are being honest. There is a big difference between "couldn't give a monkey's about it" and "it does not exist on my PC".

I think there are those that want to fly and those that want to sit at an airport and go 'hmmmm, that wall over there should be green and white as in the real airport, not white and green as I'm seeing in the sim. And if this should be so, it is their right, is it not, to do so?  None of us here have the right to condemn another for what they do or don't find acceptable.

Summary: there are people claiming they dont have the issue, when you ask them to proof it, they either go silent, repeat their claim without proof over and over again or they post screenshots/videos showing the issue. And then you have those like me and others, who see the issue all the time and find it immersion breaking. That is why we complain and ask for a fix. End of the story...

4K resolution with 12GB VRAM is not a good idea in MSFS 2024. I can run Edinburgh v2 at smooth framerates on my PC at 1920x1080 resolution (and DSR at 1.5x), and my GPU is very similar to yours. Granted I have a slightly better CPU, but there is not that much of a difference.

Who are you asking for a fix? Nobody on avsim can rewrite msfs for you. It doesn't matter how many posts you make. 

The only constructive action anyone can take is to post bugs on the official forums or requests on the wish list there. 

Then people need to decide whether msfs in its current state is acceptable for them and if it has issues that they can't tolerate they need to go and do something else. Use a different sim or take up gardening or whatever. Endlessly complaining about the same issues to people who have no power to change anything is just wasting everyone's time.

Posts like yours are way more a waste of time than outlining bugs. For you, as you obviously already forgotten: the discussion started when SeedyL, which has direct contact to the devs, was claiming in this very thread that the issue was fixed for default AI planes. Which is simply not true, as now several people have shown. Here and in the off. forums. And history tells us that exactly those kind of bugs are only on their radar and get eventually fixed if enough people make enough noise. Sad, but that is true not only for MSFS, it is always like this in the gaming world. Those things get fixed where people complain, simple, even if it is annoying for some.

Besides the fect, and I repeat myself, if your not so limited that you can have a differentiated view on MSFS2024, you can still enjoy the sim as a whole. Even if you complain about bugs. I am aware that this is too much of a task for some, but not for everybody...

I'm parked at Athens, Greece airport and had a look at the aircraft parked next to me. Nose gear disappears at about 4 gates away and main gear disappears at about 6 gates away from me. Graphics is set to the Ultra pre-set, models are FSLTL.

In my experience, it is definitely happening.

But are we (we in the widest sense) going to stop enjoying the sim because of it?  There's a huge thread on the official forum about it and people like 'Say again' have claimed they've added information, screenshots and videos.  What more is there to do or say, but wait to see if MS agree to prioritize it and have Asobo fix it.  All it needs is a permanently adjusted LOD (I don't think they'll do this, because they may feel it will lessen the experience for those on weaker systems or consoles. Not saying I agree with that), or, add a graphical option so that the user can adjust the LOD parameter that governs this culling of objects like the landing gear.

To address those who claim that they don't ever see the culling. Well, why let that upset people? Perhaps they're wrong and it's there but they're just not noticing it, or perhaps somehow, some users don't get the issue. I would be surprised with the latter but as I'm not there to see those users' screens, I can't say for certain.

Is it worth getting so outraged by those people though?  MS must be aware of the issue (as some see it) by now.  Whether some don't feel it's a problem, and even where some deny they see it, is irrelevent really.

I try again: the upsetting part is that they mix «the bug is not there on my end» with «I dont care about it». Because of this, the devs got the impression they fixed it for at least default AI planes (as shown by the statement of SeedyL in this thread). Which they did not. So it is imperative to be precise about it and not jumping on every thread about the landing gear issue with bold (and wrong) statements that thesbug doesnt exist. It does. It needs to be fixed.

Cant be so difficult to understand this small but important difference, no?
