May 19May 19 Thank you for the reply, but I have followed the instructions in the manual, the batteries are on, I have selected the engines, one at a time to start. They don't even try to start. Don't even crank. No response at all from either engine.I haven't gone through the whole thing yet...But you may want to look at the Failures section again and double check through all the wearable items that they're 100% as new. Also, be sure you have gas in the jet...?Oh - and don't forget that all the circuit breakers work! :) Edited May 19May 19 by UrgentSiesta
May 19May 19 Is it just me or is this thing all over the place on the take off roll? Im going from one side of the rwy to the other. Once In the air it want to dive left even when Im at 160 kts? My last attempt my Yokes moved the wrong direction. Edited May 19May 19 by YukonPete Pete Richards I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988. I went into the Library and did a full download of the plane, so that it was not streaming. I also disabled the few third party liveries that I had installed. After this I was able to get the engines to start. I do not know yet if it was the streamed version of the file, or one of the liveries that was causing the problem, but if you are experiencing the same issue with engines that will not even crank, you may want to try the same actions. My last attempt my Yokes moved the wrong direction. Not just you. On my one and only flight I found it to be very squirrely on both the takeoff and the landing rollout. It reminded me of the early versions of the SWS PC-12 the way it wanted to waddle down the runway. I'm sure it will be addressed by the developer if we give him time because he has obviously put a lot of hard work into this. Kerry W. May 19May 19 I fly with the XBOX controller with the assistance setting on. The Phenom and HJET are very controllable that way in the air and on the ground.dd

This behavior was seen in the preview videos and I was quickly met with resistance from Raul. I bought the plane myself and dialed the sensitivity way back, but it’s still there. Admittedly I was a bit frustrated to have observed this behavior and asked the question about it, only for it to be quickly brushed off. May 19May 19 I bought the plane myself and dialed the sensitivity way back, but it’s still there. Maybe it’s local winds that’s causing exaggerated handling problems ?I was fully expecting a skittish take off roll from watching the earlier videos, however thus far, and only really done one take off and 3 circuits, it’s been absolutely fine and nice to handle.I seem to recall the wind was only 3kts and a tailwind when I took off.I’ll get some more flying in today and see if it’s still behaving. 787 captain. Admittedly I was a bit frustrated to have observed this behavior and asked the question about it, only for it to be quickly brushed off.May I ask what hardware you are using for your rudder input and what sensitivity you are using? Actually to be honest there was no resistance by Raul or you were brusehd off. If you feel like that we are def sorry. Things got actually quite crazy the last days on amount of questions. The problem is there is a lot of hardware around out there and we def can't test all of them. But we have actually 3 quite huge beta teams on the Phenom that are even separated from each other and a handful of active pilots on this type and honestly nobody reported this. I for myself am on quite old and noisy CH Pro pedals on default sensitivity and actually don't see this behaviour when you are easy on the rudder and just use the input you need. It def can get tricky both on takeoff and landing (like Murph perfectly showcased with beeing waaaaay to fast on his landing) if you use a bit of too much rudder input and then try to slightly over correct that can lead into quite some squirrely behaviour. Crosswinds come into play also for sure. Nonetheless we will try to collect more feedback on that topic and discuss with our pilots. Any feedback is appreciated and will lead to improvement. Thanks and Cheers T.

May 19May 19 Just been up doing some circuits.Take off and landing with 15kts crosswind didn’t present any problems using an into wind aileron cross control technique.Still wind circuits at dusk..the handling was just gorgeous. So I’m pleased to say personally I’m not seeing any issues with the aircraft’s take off and landing roll handling other than those imposed by the host simulator.I hope those having issues will see this as a positive 787 captain. May 19May 19 I quite often see videos exhibiting aircraft moving from left to right to left etc during the take off roll. I assume that this is because of excessive rudder inputs, but I must admit that it always looks a bit "messy" to me. It is difficult to compare my own take offs, as I always fly in very calm conditions, and I do not have rudder pedals. All I can say is that the excessive "swinging" from side to side that I see at times makes me feel somewhat uncomfortable. I've seen some videos where the aircraft stays in the runway's centerline all the way to liftoff. I have an older Cirrus pedal and I had to set sensitivity all the way to the left. It does an ok job until one day I replace it with a more modern one. They are not cheap. MSFS
May 19May 19 I've watched a few YT videos and I'll probably get it after a few updates. I'm a fan of a "ready to fly" state, a light jet that is easy to taxi and had fly, and with very little workload. Obviously, for a jet like this one, the AP and Nav equipment has to work perfectly.Joy for me comes from controlling the airplane and listening to and interacting with a good ATC add-on. Usually, I leave the ATC to the Co-Pilot. MSFS
