Install only one mask at the time for the season needed. You can use the mask with or without a trees mod; work perfectly also with default trees. Edited September 3Sep 3 by Marc22

Varied tree sizes looked fantastic.2nd placeBijan - Very nice rough, non-rounded perimeters around individual wooded areas but a few too many spaces between each tree, where the ugly ground textures were visible. Tree size felt a little smaller than is natural and generally uniform tree sizes.3rd placeSweden Forests - Nice geometry for most individual wooded areas and good tree size. But all tree sizes very uniform and too much space between individual trees, that allowed too much of the ugly ground textures to bleed through.4th placeDefault - Not by any means terrible but tree size scale looked oversized and very uniform. Most perimeters around individual tree zones were completely straight, giving the appearance of 'rectangles' around the area (A bit of a 'landclass' look, from the older sims).NB.... 100% subjective assessment!Nice, thanks. Could you run a test in tropical areas? I tried Thailand and the difference is night and day: Bijan renders a very plausible and dense rain forest while with BBD, the trees are far too sparse. And too tall 😉 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
September 6Sep 6 I like it. I guess it depends on how much of a Dendrologist you are but it seems to bring more variety and natural look to it worth the pounds or dollars imho.

September 6Sep 6 at 20:26 he jumps out and walks through the BB forest. During the whole flight he is praising BB global vegetation. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. September 8Sep 8 Enhanced Global Vegetation has been updated to version 1.5.5 We have had huge amounts of feedback, from testers and users. On the back of some observations around realism we have made the following changes: Vegetation & realism: Fixed missing grass at airports worldwide. Our rules were replacing the default airfield grass without re-supplying it. Reduced tree heights in the Alps. Mature conifers were spawning around 10% too tall, and tall trees no longer appear near the treeline Fixed wrong pine species across the tropics. Mediterranean umbrella and maritime pines and Rocky Mountain lodgepole had been used as filler in the Bahamas, Caribbean, Central America, Southeast Asia, Himalayan foothills, Bermuda and southern Brazil, now replaced with the correct subtropical pine. Same fix for the Mexican Sierra Madre and Ukrainian steppe Fixed Florida and Mid-Atlantic pine flatwoods, which were rendering as sagebrush prairie with no pines. Now slash pine and live oak savannaFixed the Texas Hill Country, which was rendering as bare prairie the same as the rest of Texas. Now live oak, juniper and mesquite woodland Fixed Morocco's argan belt, which rendered as dense Mediterranean forest. Now open acacia, wild olive and date palm Increased tree density in the Iowa and Upper Mississippi bluff country by around 25% Fixed the Caspian Hyrcanian and Colchic forests, previously dry Mediterranean woodland, plus added a conifer band to the Caucasus and Black Forest Reduced rare giant redwoods in Kent, France and the UK to their intended rarity Fixed fan palms in Mediterranean and tropical towns, previously backwards with altitude Added a laurel forest belt to Madeira and the Canary Islands 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
September 8Sep 8 I do like the reduced size, maybe they reduced the size not only in the Alps as written in the patch notes. But what I really do not like is the low density of trees, e.g. here in Malaysia (MSFS2024 helipad code: WM3CX):The same spot with Bijan Season Enhanced, much denser forest and to me, not knowing the area, more plausible Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
September 9Sep 9 I have used Bijan's addon for awhile now, but I gave this a try. My casual observations:I flew in Florida and the northeast US. I don't think it is easy to pick which looks "best", because that's subjective, dependent on conditions and probably varies all over the world, and time of year, etc.Burning Blue trees are definitely clearer and more defined. While Bijan's does more to capture that "forest" look. With BBD, individual trees stand out more, and the height seems a little more varied. Bijan's trees seem to blend together a little better. It is a little hard to describe, when you look at a bunch of trees, you don't "see" individual" trees, but a blending. Maybe it is just more shadows and darkness in Bijan. I guess Bijan's captures the forest look a little better, while BBD the individual trees? The fewer trees, BBD looks better, more - Bijans. Long story short, which am I using moving forward? I'm going with BBD for now, the trees do look very nice. That said, if you already own Bijans, do you need to upgrade? Of course not. That said the cost isn't very high if you are interested in checking them out. Again though, I don't think there's a "right" answer. They are both good addons and I'm interested to see where both go. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
September 9Sep 9 That is why I always report my "findings" and observations directly in their discord channel. If they read it, it might end up as an update in one of the upcoming patches. Like the tree size of the trees in the Alps, which are now spot on after the last update. My current biggest drawback of BBD is the massively reduced density as depicted above, it is also visible anywhere else if looking closely. This might be closer to reality in many areas, but it also "unmasks" the ugly forest ground textures in the sim, I do not want to look at in close detail ;-)So yes, Craig, you nailed the point by describing it with Bijans does capture the "forest look" while BBD has the better looking individual trees, totally agree here. Not expecting 2D users to really understand this level of immersion. This vegetation mod is everything in VR!Honestly, I doubt that this guy had Bijans version installed before, as such he is comparing to default and of course, it is a huge leap then. But his walkaround basically nicely shows what we were discussing just above: the forest is too sparse. It might be correct in exact this location, but it is certainly not everywhere on the world. You can also clearly see that as soon as the ground foliage is gone, the trees stand on the ugly forest texture I was mentioning and without grass and scrubs, it looks just wrong. Sparsely placed trees mimicking a forest... But good find, I will check out this location using Bijan as soon as I have time.
