Does this pertain to Beta? I don't belong to the Beta. I didn't get an update when I started MSFS2024. I'm still on '...8.14.0.

No beta now. We’re all on SU 6, which just got an update.

You never need to do that for any kind of MSFS update, the updates don't touch the community folder. That suggestion by the MSFS team is just so you don't blame them for any issues that might be cause

No, this is no longer beta. MS have now officially released it, so it should update when you run the sim.

Yep, I hate these throw-away comments. It is a core bug in the sim and Asobo need to fix it. In any case, it shouldn't happen on any setting. If people want to run with waves at medium they should be able to without having to deal with this word not allowed. Yet another core sim issue that Asobo drag their feet fixing. Still, if you read the SU6 bug fix list, they do seem to fix a couple of hundred issues that nobody seems to have, care about, or even understand.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

It looks like after they added the ability to pair Vsync with DLSS Framegen in SU6, they managed to break it in SU 6.1. Back to forcing it in the Nvidia App.

Do note that sim update 6.1 reverts your DLSS files to 310.6 and also note that version 310.9 has been released if you use DLSS Swapper or do it manually.

At the moment, I'm finding MSFS looking a bit blurry. Not sure if it's the sim update, dlss file updates or just my eyes though have just temporarily reverted to the 310.6s to see if I can see any difference.

FYI, a new Nvidia driver has also just dropped, though I will be holding of on that for a while, I think.

There is no Ultra in water waves

It's rather amusing that we need some freeware guy to come along and fix something that should be corrected by the developer. Now, if only we had one of these handy little guys available to fix the disappearing undercarriage problem, and get GAIST working in AI Offline mode, that would be wonderful.....
