  1. Past hour
  2. You'll have the same outcome - disabling the interconnect makes almost no difference, except I believe in the animations of the yoke and pedals moving together. There is no discernible difference in the flying characteristics. Probably because the rudder and yaw damper are so ineffective in this model.
  3. That's not the point I was making... I don't always start a flight with a FP. I was just pointing that AS keeps the last FP and messes with the weather until we clear that FP.
  4. Then it is these aspects that you "attempted to fix" that are making it fly like a pig! Look on this forum, look on Reddit, look across the internet... it is not just me that finds this model absolutely awful to control and fly. And give it up with the whole "it's user error" gargabe. I'm a licenced pilot. Translating a living, flying, aerodynamic machine into moving pixels on a screen is an art as much as it is a science. Just because you have some simulated numbers matching up, does not mean it's a good, convincing analogue. I'm guessing you're the guy that has been telling hundreds of people on the SWS Discord that they are all wrong and stupid too? Well perhaps, just perhaps, it's you that's got this wrong - in the fundamental design of how you will depict the PC-12's unique control achitecture. It flies like a pig. Search AVSIM for the SWS PC-12 and users saying "I won't be buying SWS products any more" - directly as a result of their experience with the PC-12. I said it and I can count at least 5 others who feel the same. That cannot be the right outcome for SWS! It is a simulation and as a simulation, the PC-12 is just distinctly odd, unnatural and unenjoyable, in yaw, at low speed. The real PC-12 is none of those things. The real PC-12 does not float it's way - almost sideways - to the runway - with no wind present, with a defective yaw damper and rudder pedals. Stubborness rarely leads to positive outcomes.
  5. I have already done so, but sometimes it works, sometimes not.GA Callsign is "Pilatus TLE", if that helps.
  6. What are the GPS options exactly? From what I've seen in videos it appears one can only select the larger GNS 530 or GTN 750, with or without their smaller counterparts. That is some serious overkill for a Tomahawk. A GTN configuration would probably cost more than the plane! 🤣 Are there options for a single GNS 430? That would suit the little bird a lot better.
  7. if you have navigraph you can create quick new FP inside the sim, export to the internal plan then ASFS can read it.
  8. Thanks @mikethe6th I think it has just come up because yes, I have just tried again and got in. I'd been trying since yesterday morning. So the subscription is cancelled but here's the next issue. It is not possible within the Pilot Portal to remove any financial data (eg. card details) from your account. So SI just keeps your bank details on their system forever. Certainly under UK & EU General Data Protection Regulations this would be be non-legal. Data subjects must be provided with the ability to edit or remove financial data from organisations that use it for automated recurring payments. I guess such protection doesn't exist in the US? This has left a really sour taste in my mouth. Not the SI product, but the lack of clarity in the wording on the sign-up page of their website. In the add payment method screen (you can add payment methods, you just can't delete them), there is tiny text that states "SayAgain can use your data to take recurring payments". It really is deliberately tiny text, right down way under the fields where you add your details. Who would agree to subs, if you don't have neither proper control nor trust in the company you are entrusting to dip into your bank account at any time they please? 👎😠
  9. I don't see the problem if Microsoft or Asobo wants to increase traffic on their website. Community support is NOT a one-way street. Community support means Microsoft supports the community and the community also supports Microsoft. It's just like working for anyone. You have to work to get paid. Or, it's like loving anything or anyone. You gotta give love to get love.
  10. I am having the same issues since updating my NVDIA driver in March 2024. I have even gone so far to re-reinstall P3d5.4, kept my scenery to a minimum and I still experience CTD after about 30 minutes of flight. Most errors are DLL related such as terrain etc. I have deleted the P3D shader cache and scenery index files but still no resolution. Done the SFC /SCANNOW, no issues. I have also lowered all word and terrain settings. Is this a Windows or NVDIA driver issue with p3D ? I have no issues running MSFS or X plane 12. Any guidance would be appreciated My pc specs are RTX4090, 64GB RAM, Intel i9 14900ks.
  11. If your budget is more flexible (i.e., you can spend way more), you might want to look at Falcon NW. https://www.falcon-nw.com/. Reviews of the products are not as frequent as they once were, but they were/are well regarded.
  12. Also, I just checked in my account and it clearly shows your payment, subscription type, when next payment is coming out in bold green letters. Just putting this out there because you're slanting this like they are "scamming" people, and that's not what I'm seeing at all.
  13. Looking through the changelog for 12.1, I can't tell you what's in it, or what's not in it, due to NDA. But I can tell you it's extensive. I'm talking several pages of PDF just for the first alpha. If you've reported the problem, with comprehensive notes, then I don't doubt they'll get it fixed.
  14. Somehow or other I have duplicate joysticks in my Controls Options page ... any way to remove both and do a fresh install???
  15. I've had no issues with the portal and have been on nearly every day this past week. Also, if you had some kind of technical issue that interfered with things for you, Brian and Co. seem very flexible in giving people extra days of credit. Have you raised it on discord? Someone is usually very quick to offer help.
  16. I get updates sometimes mess with items already under control and break things. Seeing how Jim is their ATC guy and he managed to fix the network issue within one update, you'd think their pro network guy would have most if not all of this figured out by now and we'd at least have an update on what has been worked on and/or corrected so far. If Austin thinks minor stutters break the emersion factor in XP, he should try flying with networked computers during a lighting storm! WARNING: If you try this, you better not suffer from seizures, it may bring on an attack with multiple uncoordinated light flashes on multiple screens!
  17. The thing is, if I fly with a FP and then go to msfs menu and start a new flight without a FP, AS FP will still show the previous FP and sometimes we need to clear the FP so clouds show as it should...
  18. yes some pitch up and some pitch down. It has to do with change of center of lift when flaps are deployed.
  19. Hi guys, A cautionary warning; When I signed up for Say Intentions, to use with MSFS for a month, what the wording suggested I was buying was 1 month of subscription. I did not feel I encountered anything that suggested that I had agreed to recurring payments being taken from my bank. I know how subs work, but in many cases, it's possible to use a subscription service, while not utilizing automatic recurring payments. In other words, one must make the payment manually each month (via Paypal, etc). This is what I feel the wording suggested I was signing up, on SI. I decided some weeks ago not to continue using SI, due to the lack of localisation (constant US controllers in the UK and all ATC chatter consisting of "UNITED 001 DIRECT LA GUARDIA!" etc), and assumed my 1 month sub would expire. I found out yesterday that SI took a further payment from my bank on 17th April 😶 Worse than this..... I have been trying to access the "Pilot Portal" for 2 days, with no access and a Bad Gateway:- If there's one thing worse than an unexpected recurring payment, it's one that you cannot then cancel, due to their website being down.
  20. I have seen multiple layers with flight plans. On approach the weather is cloned by the destination airport, no idea what you mean by "unrelated". Damian explained why the flight plan is needed and what he said also explains why something might change when you clear the flightplan (AS forgets about your destination and will use other data on approach instead of the destination airport METAR). Especially the appearance of additional cloud layers is explained through that (METARs only report the lowest layer, so that's what you will get on approach with a flight plan; Damian is however working on improving the depiction of [undisclosed] upper cloud layers when using METAR data only).
  21. Thanks it was an 'exciting' approach. Saw runway the moment I was applying power to GA. The weather was so good that taking screenshots all the time didn't help but ...worth it! Preset control? The full ASFS live weather option. No MSFS weather.
  22. wanted to download KAMA for P3D but got a MSFS download. Who do I contact?
