  1. Past hour
  2. Good morning Ryan 🌞 Yes my friend...duly noted 🙏 and done 😁
  3. First, I'm part of the group of "our" when it comes to frustrations so please avoid the you and us piece that is unwarranted. I've written many posts and comments about cloud depiction over the years very likely more than most here in terms of where to focus to improve that and that everything above ground including the sky is major part of the sim. We can agree to disagree what "a good part" means. I'm not saying the majority, I'm saying a significant part. Did you want to argue over what 'significant' means?
  4. Sure there are some inconsistencies and not everything is absolutely perfect, but from the perspective of a casual IFR sim flyer, I have to say that BeyondATC is absolutely fantastic, it completely changes the experience and makes flying so much more immersive. It's so easy to use, even for newbies like me, so much less intimidating than Vatsim. Plus, voice recognition is phenomenal, even with my pathetic little microphone and no headphones (it's so good that I cancelled my order for a headset with mic). Game changer for me.
  5. If I were you guys I'd call in or out of work sick today haha!
  6. What airport is this? I haven't seen this tile popping and I won't to see if I get it here. Roy
  7. It's interesting to see how people were already mature and educated and acted acordingly to society's norms, I think that's why it's one of the popular cities in Englad nowadays, can't imagine a bad town to be like Oxford, even in 100 years...
  8. I'm wondering if the people unhappy with cloud depiction now are mostly from the cohort that largely exchews presets, which still regularly put out stunning views, (and the default live seems not bad to me, either)
  9. Ha I’m base in Chicago, that’s not bad. In East Flow most of the time Chicago uses 9C/FF for as one of their departure runways. The other is 10L/DD. Coming from the north, you’ll generally get 9L for landing. Now once you land, I wished taxi clearances were that easy! 🙂 From 9L “standard taxi” in East flow from 9L is M1, M, M2, C, C3, D, hold short of VV (with 9C tower controller), on VV get cleared to cross 9C, Hold short 9R and contact ground. Ground will clear you across 9R and… thats when the fun begins depending on which gate you are going to. For Terminal 1 it could be G, cross 4L to the “north port”. For Terminal 2 lately it has been something like J, T, U, B, A12 (or A13), A to the ramp. For Terminal 3 it is G, cross 4L, TT, A, to the ramp. And for terminal 5 it will be similar, G cross 4L, TT, A, depending on the gate one of the A (21,20,19) to the ramp or A18, V, to the ramp.
  10. You sound a lot like my thought, are you somehow in my head? haha Manufactures like to put flashy stats on paper and their one-off prototype model, I'm the kind who doesn't belive until it's real and tested by the large public
  11. That's an interesting thought. So I skimmed through my files and came up with these screenshots. Release-version: After SU5, before SU7: The diversity generally seems to still be there, as such skies (layers especially) disappeared completely after SU7 until around SU11. I didn't find the same convincing layered overcast though, but it was a relatively short period and I didn't fly that often due to the banding issue that SU5 introduced, so I'm not sure if that had already gone. What I remember (and found in more screenshots from that period) is that my overall impression was that of a more simplified and harsh, contrasty look of the sky. That's why I was surprised to find the shot at the bottom right, which I would have assigned to the release version if I didn't know better. Then I also searched for screenshots from the release version that resemble skies that can probably be seen with todays Live weather, and came up with these: So not everything that glitters was gold. But it remains to be noted that although apparently not perfect as well, the release version was at least capable of showing skies like in the first tableau.
  12. I’m guessing it was trying to do a Canadian French voice.
  13. I think “release” is the key word we are all looking for 😊
  14. AAaaaaa hahaha, yea it makes sense now, thanks!
  15. HiFlyer

    Lasers? 🤣

The Enterprise is so advanced that shooting lasers at it would be like throwing spitballs at the real US navy's Enterprise.....
  16. 2024 must have some wicked optimization for every tree to be a 3D model. I‘m going to guess some extreme LOD. Only so many trees are full 3D at a time, and probably depends on how close you are.
  17. FWIW, Jorg talks about trees enhancements coming in MSFS 2024 at last year's FSExpo at this timestamp: https://youtu.be/VPhScg_FINE?t=1087 (much more tree diversity, 3D trees, correct tree heights, etc)
  18. I don't... I don't get it?
  19. Sometimes I get attacked for "assuming" stuff, when I just used some common sense which is not so common these days..
  20. Hehe, you mean the way a takeoff is always referred to as a "departure" before you've received the actual takeoff clearance?
  21. Don't worry, I still found this thread informative. For example, I have learnt that if I decide to join the BETA (and I have given it some consideration), I will be in for about 20GB download. 😉
  22. Hello I am new to pilot2ATC. I have read the manual and successfully set up pilot2ATC to work with MSFS 2020. I have no modified airports or planes. I only fly the stock Cessna C-172 G1000. I have an active Navigraph subscription showing the current AIRAC cycle. For whatever reason at my local airport KBJC, a very busy airport near Denver, has only one frequency listed. I highly doubt this is missing from AIRAC. Is there a way to force the current AIRAC data into pilor2atc? I also see in the pilot2atc taxiway tab where you can add frequencies. I did this but the save button there does not seem to actually save my inputs. This is my last hurdle to getting into the “sky” using pilot2atc. Any insights to getting all of the frequencies into pilot2atc are appreciated! Thanks, Chris
  23. @Yosserhughes, I can recommend Chillblast. Contact them for advice. Come back here before buying if you want the advice of experienced simmers. 👍
