  1. It's possible you have the elevator trim assigned to more than one device. This will give this effect.
  2. Thanks very much.
  3. Which aircraft is this?
  4. I had this problem some time ago, solved it by changing the wireless router! Whether there was a tick box not set correctly, I don't know, but this did solve the problem after a lot of frustration.
  5. Good, keep me posted.
  6. Hi, the point I was trying to make is to start Prepar3d without any Saitek devices, only plugging them in once the simulator is running. It may be a general Saitek issue rather than just the Saitek trim wheel.
  7. Just had a quick circuit round Sherburn, flies very nicely. If you haven't already, it will be worth getting a good set, I use CH, of rudder pedals as this will make life easier as most accurate aircraft demand correct use of the rudder. It has been said that in a jet, the pedals are somewhere to rest your feet but with a prop on the front that is not the case!
  8. I had a similar problem with Prepar3d in Windows 10 which eventually turned out to be the Saitek elevator trim wheel that appeared to be causing the problem. The solution is to load Prepar3d with the trim wheel unplugged, only plugging it in once the simulator is running after which everything seems to work fine. I am not using any drivers other than those in Windows 10 itself. I have heard there are new drivers now from Saitek but I have not tried them so far. My other devices are CH Eclipse yoke, a super piece of kit, CH rudder pedals, Saitek TPM unit, again highly recommended, CH 6 lever throttles, M-panel and VR radio stack. Might be worth trying this approach and see if it makes any difference.
  9. A similar problem occurred with Prepar3d v3 in Windows 10 with the Saitek elevator trim. A solution is to leave the device unplugged while starting the simulator only plugging it in once the simulator is running. This seems to work with the trim wheel so may work with other devices.
  10. I've been using M Panel for several years and is a brilliant piece of kit when it works! Can be tempermental, sometimes reinstalling FSUIPC - paid version - can help, but since I've gone to Prepar3d v3.1 it does not appear to be recognised. The vr radio stack works fine. Sounds like updated drivers are required.
  11. Just installed this. Real Air have raised the bar again. Easily the best GA aircraft out there - in my humble opinion! Well worth the cost.
  12. Just loaded GTN 750 in the A2A Cessna 182, after re-loading the Garmin Lite trainer. Working fine. Now the migration tool is upgraded to v.3 I have got my favourite aircraft installed as well and working better than ever. Really happy.
  13. The endurance of the early Spitfire was less than 2 hours!
  14. I have had the Saitek Trim Wheel for some time now and find it excellent especially for GA aircraft. I also had the problems mentioned, especially getting the unit to be recognised, but found the solution is to remove all usb control devices, then plug the trim wheel in first followed by the rest of the controls. Everything should work ok now.
  15. Absolutely, totally hooked on 4K monitors, Samsung 28" in my case. My main sim is Prepar3d v2.5 using a smaller monitor as a GPS screen with the excellent Flight1 GN 750
  16. Why not come to Sherburn in Elmet, first Saturday every month, on the airfield and always a good day.
  17. HI, i7 4790k, GTX 970, 16 gb ram, 4K monitor, Horizon GenerationX photo scenery, UK2000 airports with Real Air Turbine Duke for Prepar3d, average 50 fps. No tweaks, as it comes. No complaints!
  18. Hi, I presume you're looking for fsi panei from www.fsipanel.com which got a very good review in the Jan/Feb issue of PC Pilot magazine.
  19. I have been using Prepar3d v2.4 quite happily for some time now on a fairly modest system, i5 2500K cpu, 8gb ram and an nvidia 6600ti GTX graphic card on a 27" monitor. This compares well with other systems I have seen at shows and the flight sim. groups I attend. I have recently become aware of 4K monitors but got a mixed reaction after looking at various forums as to how worthwhile they are. I decided, however, to bite the bullet and bought a Samsung 28" 4K monitor along with an nvidia 970GTX graphic card. I was expecting a modest, but perhaps not a dramatic, improvement, but what I got was far more than I imagined. The actual frame rate is reduced but the flight model is still smooth down to the mid 30s. What is really impressive is how sharp and vivid everything is even on the default aircraft which I thought were quite basic on my original system much preferring the Real Air aircraft which have always been amazing and are now even better. I can only wonder how much more improvement will be evident when they release aircraft specifically for Prepar3d. The colours, details, instruments and textures really spring to life in a way I have not seen before and even older aircraft like the Flight 1 Hawker Hunter, originally made for FS2004 and FSX really shine. I think this is the next big step for the ultimate visual experience. Just imagine a 3 screen set-up!
  20. I don't know how or why, but I'm running Prepar3d v2.4 on an i5 2500k, NVidia 6600ti GTX, 6gb ram and with most sliders over to the right, averaging 50-60fps with a very smooth performance along with sharp graphics. This system is about 3 years old now and I feel I should upgrade but reading various posts I wonder if I would see much benefit. I would consider a cpu, gpu change and a 4k monitor but it sounds like a lot of money for a small gain.
  21. I had a similar issue some time ago, changing the network wireless card seemed to resolve the problem. Maybe a co-incidence but it's been ok since.
  22. I have had both CH yokes and feel the shaft bearing of the Eclipse is considerably smoother than the earlier version. We'll worth the extra cost in my opinion. Also, it does not spring back to centre as another popular yoke does which makes it nicer to fly.
  23. I find with Prepar3d v.2 and Horizon Generation x photo scenery I get much better results with frame rate set at unlimited rather than locked at 30 fps as some recommend. I get a lot of blurries at 30 fps but is vastly improved when unlimited. This is on an i5 2500k based system which works as well as anything else I have seen.
  24. The Real Air aircraft install fine using the Estonia migration tool and run extremely well in Prepar3d.
