I just reinstalled Acceleration and repaired FSX. I am still getting the same problem. I have attached a screenshot. Can someone look at my previous screenshots and identify which critical file I am missing, probably a .dll file that starts with a "d". How do I fix this? The loading screen is black when light bloom is turned on and ground textures are transparent. What is happening? Can someone please take a screenshot of their main FSX folder? This is the problem:

I've just repaired it. When I inserted the first disk it asked whether I was installing or repairing. I'm not sure whether it installed a new copy over my addon components if it didn't recognise it as default. I've got a simprop.dll error at startup. Seems like I forgot to repair Accelerated also.

Aha thanks! I totally forgot about the repair option. I'm gonna try that out. What does repair change though? Will it override any modifications like FTX Global scenery textures?

Hi, I uninstalled Flight Toolkit then reinstalled. However, it did not reinstall the Flight Toolkit folder in Program Files. Where is flight toolkit even installed? I can't seem to find it or the tools it provides. And after I uninstall it, My MS Flight is still in the toolkit "mode", but I have uninstalled it. How does this work? Where is it installing and how do I remove it so I can do a proper install? Thanks, Aaron.

Hi, I decided to remove Reshade's annoying popup by removing the d3d (or something like that .dll file). However, I also accidently deleted other .dll files that start with a "d" or anything near them. Now when I turn on boom, the aircraft startup screen tuns back and if you load it with bloom, it loads, but there is no aircraft. Another problem is that when I do turn off bloom (I use DX10 with fixer), the ground textures have turned into water and all the objects just floating above it. What's going on? Which file did I delete and how do I fix this? Can someone please take a screenshot of their main FSX folder around the .dll files starting with "d"? Here are 2 screenshots of my main FSX folder:

I did test the DX10 before the fixer and the frame rates were better. I figured out that it must have been that the tweaks I had were deleted. I am currently trying to install reshade. However, it says that the installation archive folder is corrupted. Can someone download the latest version from the front page and see whether it is a problem with my computer or a problem on their side? Thanks for all the help.

Finally got the DX10 Fixer! You bring up a good point- smooth fluid flight is more rewarding than just eye candy. Can anyone share their fsx and/or the fixer's setting for DX10? Also, does the DX10 effects reduce FPS? I seem to be having an FPS drop when using the fixer. Wow those ground shots look very realistic. I am currently trying to download reshade but Winrar says that the archive is corrupt. Anyone know the fix? Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for your reply. Not quite sure what you are trying to say in the first paragraph. What I meant was which one made fsx look the most realistic (in your opinion), when given those choices. Seems like DX10 is a good choice. I'm gonna get the fixer as soon as possible. I tried to download reshade, however winrar fails to open it and says that it's corrupted. Not sure what's wrong with the file. Thanks, that is what I currently have. However, I'm trying to make the lighting and the colours look realistic. I think the default fsx looks too monotone or dull to be realistic. I've been looking at some real life videos and I am trying to find out how to make the shaders look more like that. Also, this might be off topic, but I have been flying around Malaysia and FTX Global doesn't seem to make the ground textures look that great. Is it just for me or is it just because there isn't as much coverage in that region? I've seen people modify colour correction using Sony Vegas to make it like this. Does reshade work this way? I really want to know which looks more realistic- SweetFX or ENB? I find it really hard to comapare because I don't have an artistic eye . I can't seem to download reshade. Hi, I am trying to figure out which of these options looks the closest to real life. I did buy P3D, but my PC couldn't run it smoothly so I had to revert back to FSX. Right now I am using it with ENB. In your opinion, please rate it from 1-5, 1 being the most realistic and 5 being the least. Default FSX FSX with ENB (state which ENB) FSX with a mod (state which mod) FSX with DX10 FSX with DX10 fixer Which one looks closest to real life? I'm having a hard time figuring it out.

Hi, I am wondering how you guys keep track of software updates. I have missed many important updates for the Lionheart Quest Kodiak, REX Overdrive & Essentials, Aerosoft A320/A321, Ezdok and much more. Most of the time I don't even know that there is an update. I keep a list of addons and would frequently google ______ update from the time I realised that there was an update for REX that came out 6 months ago. Most of the time I would google the updates but most of them just don't show up such as the Lionheart Quest Kodiak and the Aerosoft A320/A321. The only way I found out about was when I changed computer and when I saw a FroogleSIm video about the new Aerosoft update. I was lucky enough to get emailed about updates such as the new FSPassengerX 2015. I do source around in forums but most of them have many sub forums that are tricky to navigate and I don't want to post a new topic every now and then asking whether there is an update So my question is how do you guys keep track of your updates? It would be a waste of money if I don't know about new updates (such as the Ezdok 1.17 and 1.18.5 update, which I had no idea abut until I watched a video by Matt Davies) Thanks, Aaron.

Thanks for all the help! I solved it by using this registry fixer: http://tweakfs.com/download/fsx_reg_utility.zip Apparently the Flight1 registry fixer only changed my HKEY_CURRENT_USER but not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Now I can fly my PMDG!!! Again, thanks for all the help, Aaron.

Hi again, apparently, operation manager doesn't detect my PMDG 737NGX because it is isntalled in the C:\ drive. Help!!

Hi, I recently noticed my livery manager wasn't working well so I decided to do reinstall. After uninstalling, I realised that it did not delete the livery manager so I deleted it myself. I freshly downloaded a new copy from the PMDG website after the Operations Center informed me of a new update. When I reinstalled, it did not restore Livery manager. I have tried reinstalling more than 3 times now with no success. Someone please help!!?? I need my PMDG!! Thanks, Aaron. Thanks for the reply everyone. I can't find the operation center anywhere. I just reinstalled the PMDG 737NGX 3 days ago now. When was the operations center introduced to the PMDG 737NGX? Maybe my version is outdated. Kyle yes, I am incredibly familiar with the aircraft itself. I think PMDG has done a wonderful job including the real manuals(which other addons rarely do). I have read all the manual included and still look back for reference. I tried finding the operations center on the intro and using the find tool but nothing pops up. Is the operations center for the PMDG 737NGX relatively new? I will try redownloading again today. Thanks, Aaron.

Hi, today I tried to rush to get ATC coverage on VATSIM. I forgot that I reinstalled PMDG due to a VC issue 2 days ago so I tried to redownload all my liveries. When I went to the addon liveries section, the FSX 737-800/900 section was missing! And it asked to download through the operations manager which I tried searching for to no avail. I googled it but it said that it was only available for the 777. After all that the ATC had logged offline :( Can someone please help? Or have I forgotten something??? Thanks, Aaron.
