Hi I have uninstalled FSX from Control Panel, however in the main FSX directory in Program Files(x86) the only folder left is fonts... The 4 fonts are: arialnb arialnbi glassga quartz When I try to delete them its says the file is open in system, close the file and try again. I have already made sure I have full control over the files in properties and I have also rebooted in safe mode. Thanks

I had Active Sky 2012 and I uninstalled it yesterday. After installing it I restarted my computer and went back to FSX and when I pressed SHIFT+5 a blank HiFi Technologies radar came up. I went in and manually removed all the flies that are from Active Sky and HiFi Technologies and it still does it. I found out that it is called xGuage and I looked to see if there were any files with that name and there were not. So I would love to get this completely uninstalled so that SHIFT+5 pulls up what it is supposed to.

Hi! Forgive me but I couldn't find explicit instructions or a sticky on this. I have installed an orbx region and I'd like to remove some of the orbx regional airports that might conflict with more detailed add-on airports I had installed prior. Can someone describe in detail or post a link for me? Appreciate it. Image 2 is Orbx Regional Airport with Add-on airport unchecked in scenery library.

Hi all, I am in the midst of making "The Big Change" going from FS9 to FSX. Yes it's been a few years, but I recently bought a new system good enough to give me a nice experience in FSX. However, during the installation of FSX (Gold) the other day, I was a bit excited and missed to create a custom directory for FSX. Now, I do have an SSD set aside for FSX alone. This is the disk I installed it on, but under a "Program Files (x86)" directory. From what I've heard, this could produce problems, even though it actually sits on a completely different physical disk from Windows 8. I tried to uninstall FSX but ran into trouble.. Acceleration uninstalled just fine, but when inserting the FSX Disc1 and running setup, there was no option to Uninstall. Neither does FSX show up in the Control Panel-->Applications. So my two questions are: 1. Do I need to re-install FSX, due to the directory it was installed in? 2. If so, how do I properly uninstall FSX? Any help is appreciated. Kind Regards /J PS I don't want any replies saying "Install Windows 7 instead, Windows 8 sucks".

Hi, I uninstalled Flight Toolkit then reinstalled. However, it did not reinstall the Flight Toolkit folder in Program Files. Where is flight toolkit even installed? I can't seem to find it or the tools it provides. And after I uninstall it, My MS Flight is still in the toolkit "mode", but I have uninstalled it. How does this work? Where is it installing and how do I remove it so I can do a proper install? Thanks, Aaron.

Hey guys. I used to have fsx (cd version) installed. I uninstalled it when I got p3d 2.5. I also bought Flightsim Estonia's migration tool to help with addons. Now I want to install fsx again on a 2nd harddrive alongside p3d. However, when I start the installation I only get an option to repair or uninstall the preexisting version of fsx. However, I dont have fsx installed... I made a thread at flightsim estonia - you can find it here: http://board.flightsim.ee/discussion/479/answered-install-fsx-after-p3d-and-migration-tool#Item_9 They havent been able to help me solve this issue yet, and so I turn to the broader avsim public to see if it might give me a solution. I really want to get back in fsx to fly my lovely Concord *crossing fingers*
