Good Afternoon, Im having a number of issues since update. I cannot seem to give commands such as "Start APU" or "Set Engine Anti On/Off" It is not recognizing it in the green box, instead picking up all sorts of different words. I am English - UK Speaker. Remained on English US initially and it was present then, now also switched to English - UK and same. I have not changed the pace or diction of the requests, they are the same I have been using for the past 4 years or so with FS2CREW. Anyone else experiencing this at all? Regards Chris

Hi, I was following tutorial 1 for the PMDG 737-800 NGX allong nicely, and have parked the aircraft at a gate at EHAM. I just started going through the list for the secure procedure, and switched the APU off. Although there was no warning of this in the tutorial PDF, an alarm started sounding. No red or yellow lights appeared (next to the red fire button on the annunciator panel) and I couldn't switch the alarm off that way. Suddenly FSX gave a "Fatal error" prompt and exited the sim without anything that I could do. Is the alarm related to switching off the APU? I didn't have any indications or annunciations on the panel, nor was the alarm like a fire alarm. It was a different kind of sound. And could these steps have led to FSX giving me a fatal error? Anyone else have had this kind of behavior in the past? Thx for your replies.

Hi, I am learning to start from cold and dark startup and i'm doing pretty well. However, I get to the part to start up the APU but nothing happens. I have seen where once you have enabled the start the APU switch will automatically turn to ON. In my case, I turn the knob to start and it just sits there and nothing happens. No matter how long I wait, the APU generator switches never light up to "available". Hopefully you can help me with this frustrating problem. It could be user error, but then again I might not have added everything when I first downloaded the PMDG 747-400. Any help is appreciated. Jared

Hello all This is definitely a stupid question, however, after finishing both pmdg tut again and, browsing the web, I still don't know the answer. I want to use the pmdg with my recently acquired copy of GSX. I'm not able to fo a full dark and cold rub, so I use the default state. However, gsx requires engines to be off (which I do with the cutoff switch and the apu generator bus to on. However, to commence push l, I have to switch on the apu. This however doesn't start for me, which also results somehow in me not being able to even start the engines :|. Is there something else that has to be switched from the engine off state, to be able to start it? Could you guys help me? Vkr Vic

Hey guys... I've bought PMDG777 on 4th Setember. Initially, all works ok (in the firsts 2 days). Buuut, today, when I went to turn on APU, it took like 20 minutes to turn it on. When I went to do it again, more than that... And I would like to know if it can be a BUG or can be CONFIGURATION PROBLEM. I had to turn on my engines at the blocks to do my pushback.. And I didn't change anything on FMC menu config.. What could be happened? I put some FMC images (MENU>PMDG SETUP>OPTIONS>SIMULATION) All kind of help is welcome... Thanks, Stefano

Hi, I would like to ask the folowing fs2crew SOP1 starts the apu before the aircraft lands evenif I Have chosen to start the apu after the captain's command, this maybe a bag or sonuthing else? Thank you very much Pericles

Hi, I've been trying to combine two functions to one switch on Saitek Switch Panel to be able to turn on and start the APU in my NGXu. This is probably my 500th attempt. What am I doing wrong? Using the latest LINDA, FSUIPC (reg) and latest 737NGXu profile. Hi,I purchased the 737-800/900ngx when it came out. I just purchased the package for the 600.700 FSX this evening. I can not for the life of my get the engines to start. I start with a cold and dark, turn the batteries on, fire up the APU and get APU egt rise, the blue light on the electrical bus comes on, BUT, i can not select it to get power.Any ideas? I have flown hundreds of hours on the 800 so don't think I am missing anything.....

Hello everyone! I read that some users can't start up their APU. I have the exact opposite problem: when the engines of my (pmdg) 747 are running, i switch the APU selector to OFF but EICAS still say me "apu runnig" and if i turn the APU to on skipping the start step, generators power is avaiable. Only one time i was able to turn it off (luckily): i simply made the switch become crazy, turning it in all 3 positions (off, on, start). But i know that this isn't the right way. How can i solve it? Thanks Regards ps. i edited the config file, so the apu burns fuel from my tanks and, as you can understand, i absolutely don't want keep apu running in flight (besides the fact that it would be useless).

Hi, How can you add APU sounds to an aircraft? For example, I want to add 3rd party APU sounds to the IRIS Global Express, which uses the default CRJ 700 panel. How and where do I put these sound files and where do I edit the panel? Matt John

Hi everybody, I have a question regarding the shutdown procedure. Everytime I "push both overhead APU generator switches to transfer power from the engine generators before shutdown" (as per the tutorial) the caution beeper is blaring at me and the upper EICAS is showing the warnings: ELEC GEN OFF 4 ELEC GEN OFF 3 ELEC GEN OFF 2 ELEC GEN OFF 1 Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way the aircraft behaves? Any help is greatly appreciated! Best, Arne
