I recently purchased the Carenado King Air C90B and have great difficulty getting it in trim and holding it stable. No matter what I try the plane is all over the sky. I use the CH products Eclipse Yoke and Pro Pedals and have played with the axis settings to try to improve my flying to no avail. Are there any settings I might change, perhaps in the cfg file, that will improve the stability of the aircraft until I can learn to fly it better?

Its been a while since I took some time to take some personal shots while flying (instead of work related shots). The plan was to fly from 0S9 to S43, but from the series of shots you'll see the outcome. Lined Up....accomplishing final checks Climbing out....flaps out a bit longer to help clear the tree line. Beautiful shimmer of the SUN off of the water. We appear to be having some flap retraction issues...returning to the field Turning Base for final....Gear Down. Unable to retract the flaps, but I was able to initiate full flaps....condition levers MAX Lining Up...with a bit of a stiff wind from the NW at about 15 knots Close up on short final...(I am still mesmerized by the attention to detail of this aircraft)smileys/smiley3.gif" align="middle Enjoy

Hey everyone my name is Ian and I am a 21 year old flight sim enthusiast. I played Flight Simulator quite a bit back when I was a teenager but gave it up for school, motocross, and music. I recently got back into it and, despite only having an HP laptop and Logitech joystick to play it with, am having a fantastic time. I plan on building a computer here in the next few months to enhance my FS experience. Anyway, the reason I am posting this is to ask for a little bit of help from you guys. As I mentioned it's been a while since I've played so I'm a little rusty on most of the procedures I need to take for flying. I bought the Aeroworx King Air 200 and have and been flying that pretty much exclusively. It would be great if some of you guys could watch my short flight from KPRC to KFLG and give me a few pointers on what I need to do differently and what I'm screwing up on (besides my horrible landing at Flagstaff that would have killed us all, had it been real.) If this is the wrong place to post this then please inform me and I will delete it. Thanks in advance for your help everyone. (Watch in 1080)

I am going to apologize up front for asking this question, but I have tried everything (including contacting Friendly Panels). Friendly Panels "answer" was DX is a "preview" and we do not support it! I want to thank Steve Parsons (and others) again for all their work on DX10. I have installed tested and reinstalled V3.2.2 patches, and I still cannot find a solution. I am going to provide links for 4 pictures on my King Air 350 wing tip navigation lights, two with DX and two without DX on. I will also include here the aircraft.cfg changes related to lighting. These are the changes I made to aircraft.cfg: Default King Air which Friendly Panels builds from: [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit light.0 = 1, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast light.1 = 2, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast light.2 = 3, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast light.3 = 3, 0.56, -28.41, 1.97, fx_navred , light.4 = 3, 0.56, 28.41, 1.97, fx_navgre , light.5 = 3, -31.20, 0.00, 9.75, fx_navwhi , light.6 = 2, 0.89, -28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe , light.7 = 2, 0.89, 28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe , light.8 = 1, -26.30, 0.00, 9.89, fx_beacon , light.9 = 2, -4.55, 0.00, -1.85, fx_strobe , light.10 = 4, 4.91, 0.00, 1.64, fx_vclight, King Air aircraft.cfg created by Friendly Panels and modified by me: [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit light.0 = 1, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast light.1 = 2, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast light.2 = 3, 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, ballast ;light.3 = 3, 0.56, -28.41, 1.97, fx_navred , ;light.4 = 3, 0.56, 28.41, 1.97, fx_navgre , ;light.5 = 3, -31.20, 0.00, 9.75, fx_navwhi , ;light.6 = 2, 0.89, -28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe , ;light.5 = 2, 0.89, 28.48, 1.87, fx_strobe , ;light.8 = 1, -26.30, 0.00, 9.89, fx_beacon , ;light.9 = 2, -4.55, 0.00, -1.85, fx_strobe , light.3 = 4, 4.91, 0.00, 1.64, fx_vclight, I have NOT changed anything else in the aircraft.cfg files for either the Default or the Friendly Panels version of the King Air. If I change the Friendly Panel lines for nav and strobe to not be comments, I get double lights on external view and still no view of wingtip lights from cockpit. I can not get my wing tip navigation and strobe lights to work on the Friendly Panels version, when I try and view them from the cockpit EITHER virtual or 2D. I did try it with the above changes without DX and they work OK (can be seen from cockpit). In both NoDX and DX they can be seen from the external views. ANY ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. The links for the pictures are: No DX-10 left and right wing tips from the cockpit: https://www.box.com/s/uode4cqj9jdf12g8p1mf https://www.box.com/s/4o2wlk28ltwxtfgzku43 With DX-10 left and right wing tips from the cockpit: https://www.box.com/s/na4rqtn07ub8odulxcc2 https://www.box.com/s/2z0kgaxpenqxcpzxhypt ANY ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have read ALL of the documents on AVSM regarding DX-10 and searched the Forums for similar circumstances but I can not seem to find an answer. THANKS!!!!

This was a great trip from Block Island KBID to KSYR in the lovely Black Square analog kingair. I also picked up two Verticalsim airports: Syracuse and Omaha, NE during their sale. About 10 USD each - a great deal. Both are really nice. I will do a few extra screenshots upon landing and Part 2 of this series. This is a stunning livery by Waffler over at flightsim.to as well. I waited for a brief storm to pass and then we were underway. The flight is mostly direct at FL220. Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr BID is a short runway checkout that nice contour. Scenery by Gaya Simulations. (also highly recommend). Hello all. I just recently downloaded the Flight1 King Air B200. I loaded it for the first time and it seemed to load ready and running "the props were turning". I noticed the displays were not on, but I thought that the avionics switch was just off when it first loaded. I went into the settings and made everything "realistic" and cold and dark and it loaded as such. I switched on the battery and flipped the avionics master switch to on... and nothing happened. I pushed, pressed, flipped and manipulated every thing I could find on the display but could not get it to turn on. Am I missing a stupid step or is it possible that the download was corrupted by, say, an antivirus program or something. I did notice that windows 7 wanted to know if I would share FSX across my network, which I have never been asked before with this specific app screen splashed on screen, so I said yes to my HOME network, thinking it was Navigraph wanting access. Then I had the other standard, "do you want to use this gauge..." press enter so that was fine. Does anyone think I got a corrupt file download? Or do I just not know how to use the G1000?

Carenado's best aircraft for X-Plane (and with some features the FSX version has not). Yeah, I know ... forgot to switch on landing lights.

Orbx + Godzone's "Real Nelson" along with Rex 2.0 plus Open Clouds injector and of course, the King Air. A happy mornings flying.
