Advice regarding Alienware R16 desktop cooling
Poppet replied to PiaggioPilot's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcHey there. Just so you know, reddit has an unofficial alienware page with lots of folks who are sporting the r16 and are very happy with it. R16 4080 would be a great package, not with the i9 though, you don't need it, the i7-kf variant will run cooler and still more then loads of power for the 4080, even a 4090. Note: ensure you update the bios to the latest to repair the CPU issue, most likely this will come updated out of the box, but check anyway, after that your solid Personally speaking, i would go with the i714700kF with 4080, I would also avail of dells fantastic accident insurance, its expensive but well worth it and i have used it in the past, its at the bottom of the list called "premium support"

What do you guys think of Alienware PCs?
Poppet replied to Gregg_Seipp's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcI like Alienware PC's, not laptops, i would never buy a gaming laptop ( personally speaking) I had a i73930k alienware PC in 2014, never gave me a days trouble. Now they have released the R16 and i will be getting myself a i7 / 4080 set up in the coming weeks, no hesitation at all. Just make sure you spend the extra couple of hundred for accidental coverage, I will be going for 3 years, well worth it.

What Issues are you having Dave with MyTraffic 6- P3D scenery problem please help!
True, If you where to manually remove the in your scenery.cfg, Start Prepar3D go to World \ Scenery Library and just click Ok, It will Auto renumber the Entries- P3D scenery problem please help!
You can delete the scenery from your pc But the Entry will still be in your Scenery.cfg You only Delete this Entry in your Scenery.cfg. The Scenery EETN Tallinn X will still be Installed (Where ever you have Installed it) The [Entry's] in your scenery.cfg are only commands with a Path= to launch the Scenery (where ever you have it Installed) You can do either of these things........ You can Manually add the Path in to where ever you have EETN installed to get it working again (If you still have EETN Installed) [Area.126] Local=\????\????\ Title=EETN Tallinn X Layer=126 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE ========================= Or you can completely remove the complete [Entery] all 5 lines of it, And Manually Change the numbers to match them going down 124, 125 , 126, 127 and so on.- Discussion: Updating Prepar3D V3 using the "Update Component Installers"

Installing the Client only will have the least Impact with Add On's, Not disturbing any Scenery or Airplanes. Doing a Content or Scenery Update will in fact return all Prepar3D default files that have been Modified by 3rd Party Software back to Default again. I don't have all the Orbx stuff, So i cant Guarantee how many of there newer Installers Modify default files as apposed to Installing Extra files. (Extra files will be left untouched) But from what i do have, Vector, Europe LC some Regions and Airports, All these were left Untouched during a Content and Or Scenery Update Orbx Global The Orbx Libraries are been constantly Updated so its hard to know what files its adding or modifying (If any) So its highly recommended to run the Orbx Libraries after doing a Content and Or Scenery Update- Prepar3D V 3.4 Released

Did you follow my Original post about Uninstalling Correctly (Everything Inside your Core Prepar3D folder) + your 6 Lockheed Martin folders and starting again ? http://www.avsim.com/topic/494659-trouble-with-my-p3d-after-installing-uninstalling-pta-reshades/?p=3478963 Entry number 126 is missing a Path= "Local" I don't know this Scenery install structure but i'm pretty sure there should still be a Path= in it [Area.126] Title=EETN Tallinn X Layer=126 Active=TRUE Required=FALSE =================== You have 2 options......... (1) Delete your Scenery.cfg, Start Prepar3D and confirm the error is gone ! Then start your FTX Control Panel and it will Automatically add your Orbx Entries back into your Scenery.cfg. For all your other Aerosoft Add On's you will have to Manually add them back in though the Prepar3D Scenery Library (Doesn't take long) (2) Remove Entry 126 Complete and Manually Change the Entry numbers to match them going down 124, 125 , 126, 127 and so on.- Issue with Prepar3D website forum
Yes, I seen the post on the Prepar3D forums. I would hazard a guess and say the reason why it was removed was because your post was just a screenshot of "prepar3D has stopped responding" with no additional Information like, when, how, Crash report and so on, Also you did ask the question "why does Prepar3D crash like this" Now, If a potential new customer or customers was looking over the forums and was to see Prepar3D crashing for No reason with No other Add Ons Installed,,,,You know what I'm getting at  Your best bet is to post this Information on the Avsim CDT Forums were Experts like Jim Young can help. In this link is a small Piece form the CTD guide with a Link to the Actual CTD Guide and the Forums http://www.avsim.com/topic/492255-my-computer-has-crashed-what-do-i-do-now/- Uninstalling\Deactivating Prepar3D V3
