May 18, 201115 yr "Clean up on post's #121 and #122" lol I'll wash out the whole forum when we get some better pics of the AA 738 and a SWA 7H4, Ryan, Vin, better get your rafts ready when you do that :( -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
May 18, 201115 yr I must admit I haven't been much of a VC flier up to now but looking at screenshots like this one, I don't think I'll be able to resist much longer. The detail is fantastic and the panels look crystal clear. Well done. Cheers, Bruce Campion-Smith
May 18, 201115 yr I think it's actually far superior to the J41 - the J41 was sorta the prototype for the type of modelling Vin's doing with the NGX VC, but it's gotten a lot more advanced since.I enjoy the VC in the JS41 more than any plane I've flow so far. The NGX looks like a dream come true for many VC + TrackIR simmers. Jon Preston
May 18, 201115 yr Congratulations to Robert Ryan Vin and the rest of the team, this is an incredible leap forward in this industry. In some regards it seems just like yesterday when you were offering up your first product. Now it seems like light years. Thank you. Richard Spencer Churchill PVT SEL GYSGT USMC (ret)
May 18, 201115 yr Here's what I don't like about the screenshot. The dust on the displays are so realistic that I keep thinking my monitor is dusty and I try to wipe the dust off. This has literally happened to me several times. But in all seriousness, It's amazing how realistic the cockpit is. You guys have outdone yourselves. You think THAT'S bad. I sent Robert a bill for 4 monitors because every time I go to grab the yoke I knock over my monitor! DAMN you VC!JackColwill
May 18, 201115 yr Commercial Member Congratulations to Robert Ryan Vin and the rest of the team, this is an incredible leap forward in this industry. In some regards it seems just like yesterday when you were offering up your first product. Now it seems like light years. Thank you.Our original NG was released 8 years ago in a couple weeks actually - amazing. I bought it the night it was released and was emailing Vangelis about "a little problem I found" the next day haha - soon found myself on the beta team for the big service pack that basically rebuilt the airplane... the rest is history as they say! May 18, 201115 yr Good that you did Ryan you are an excellent edition to the team I remember it! The screens had amazing graphics, never before seen soft ND and PFDs! I remember at that time I flew PIC 767 and that was my thing, but the 737 had these AA enhanced graphics that just looked so good! But it had some issues I remember And it was a little bit pinkish blue to look at... Now you did the real thing, and it's amazing! Perhaps finally a plane that lives up to your own expectations? Yours trulyBoaz FraizerCopenhagen, Denmark
May 18, 201115 yr The picture is awesome, I have it as a desktop background. But what kind of screen do you use that has 2048x1536 in resolution? May 18, 201115 yr Our original NG was released 8 years ago in a couple weeks actually - amazing. And after all those years I still fly the PMDG 737NG all the time on VATSIM (well, together with the MD11, 747, LevelD and Maddog, but nevertheless). Soon we can say, The king is dead - long live the king!Nothing really changed there... people looking to get upset will find something to get upset about. I told people back then that it didn't look as bad as those comments suggested.I was gonna comment on how wonderfully realistic the LCD-screens looks with dust and grease on them, until I realized it was MY screen that was covered with dust and grease! dang! :D Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
May 18, 201115 yr Greetings,Gah! The timing! I'm leaving for U.S. Army Basic Training in a week...going to be sad to miss this thing when she comes out..-Matt Barton

May 18, 201115 yr Vin has a very large professional CRT monitor that he still uses instead of a widescreen LCD.oh really. it wouldn't surprise me if you then recorded the typical sound of knocking on the glass of a crt and implemented that in the ngx when knocking on the lcd screen :-). at least if you have a touch screen lcd... May 18, 201115 yr LED and LCD are essentially the same technology. Both use liquid crystals but LED uses LED back light that makes is less energy consuming and a little bit brighter. But I'm curious; why does Vin favor his CRT display above a modern LCD one?(BTW: does somebody have answer on the question of post #62?) Henk de Vries
