A friend of mine working at MS Game Studios has passed along this horrible piece of news, which I have not seen posted yet, so unfortunately I will pass it along.Steve Lacey has died this afternoon in Kirkland from what appears to be a road-rage incident. RIP Steve and thank you for being an incredibly influential and important figure in our hobby.http://www.king5.com...-126093229.html

That is absolutely terrible news. My heart goes out to his family at this time. What a waste.Rhydian

I only knew Steve via his posts and blog, but am both shocked and saddened -it is as if I have just lost a friend..

Condolences to the family and to all affected. Road rage is never an accident, I hope the suspect or suspects involved are charged accordingly in good time. Using 5500lb chunks of steel to vent frustrations of grown adults has always and will continue to be unacceptable. My thoughts are with his family. :(

I remember reading his blogs a few years back when he was developing for FSX.Very sad indeedRIP

Very sorry to hear this news...it's always terribly frustrating to hear of such accidents, where those who are responsible escape nearly unscathed, but others often lose their life for no reason.

Please pass on Deepest Condolences from the simming fraternity to his family and all those who knew him.
