John,You don't need to.I gave this gentleman a 30 days break from the forums. This kind of attacks are nothing but detestable.
I'm disgusted on how act the moderators on here, the commercial members are free to speak and another member get banned... that's enough...

We should all just cool our jets here boys and girls. We have lost the point of what is probably the most exciting FS development in a long time

Frankla's comments were way out of line. If you don't understand why then I'm unclear how anyone could explain it. As for where AVSIM stands... as a developer I can assure you they lean far more towards regular members over commercial members. I have seen it myself several times. So anyone accusing them of anything else simply doesn't know what they're talking about.

Agree

From where I'm sitting, all frankla did was question orbx's claims about flight. Claims that orbx were stating as fact in the interview, and then later admitting that it was all based on assumptions from publicly available sceeenshots and videos.

In my opinion, and as Frankla rightly pointed out, John used lots of very definitive words and phrases in his interview when discussing MSFlight. Far too many to now successfuly claim that this is all just based on "reading between the lines" of MS' public statements, something we should somehow all have been capable of doing. Someone used the word "coy" earlier in this thread. A good choice of words imho.

But so what? Within the space of a day, at least we are clearer as a community as to where we are going, (or not going) with Flight. Why the abuse??John's opinion has certainly focused our minds and introduced P3D , as a now viable alternative. Who knew that 48 hours ago....?It's a win-win situation for us. Can't understand why others feel the need to create needless drama

And John has no interest in getting us to buy all his add-ons again for P3D has he.

Cheers, Andy.

We are no clearer now than we were 4 pages ago. It's still all speculation and no hard facts.

In considering such claims it's alway worth remembering the old phrase cui bono.

When things don't "scan" people ask questions. Thank god for that human trait. The other very human trait of being drawn to drama like moths to a flame is perhaps a little less praiseworthy but certainly no less endearing.

Why? Prepar3D already has its own forum.

Flight or P3D......same difference. I am sure JV is excited about the development and why should he not be. I would happily pay for high quality products- in much the same way as I would quite happily pay £400 for a stable, bug free, performance enhanced, expandable platform from LM. Why wouldn't you, if you take it seriously enough. You can pay more than that for a golf club, or an hour in a B58. The perspective should be....whats the long term worth....

Because it is easier for us to have it here. I dare say it would be easier for LM to have it here too, given how cuddly a community we can sometimes be.
