So I was wondering if I should get the 747 or MD-11 for my first long haul payware. Any opinions?P.S- I have the 737 NGX

If you have the NGX then I absolutely think that you should choose the MD-11. The MD-11 is as almost a thorough study sim as the NGX and has a visual quality that is "newer or fresher" than the 747. Also, her systems are facinating study and different from the Boeings whereas the 747 FMS is close enough to the 737 that you would only notice the areas that are not done as well on the newer simulation. Fair disclosure, I was on the MD-11 beta team, but I still think I would recommend this regardless of that.

MD-11 bar none. Frame rates and graphics are better than the 747.

From discussions, it seems a new 747 may be on the cards once they've finished upcoming projects. So combining that with the above info, I'd go with the MD-11. I recently purchased the 747 after purchasing the NGX and the above was true, all I noticed was how it wasn't the NGX and I put it down after two flights to go back to the NGX....sad but true, I'm such a brat! :(

MD-11 since its quite different to the 747/737. If I was to rate the NGX 10/10 then by comparision the MD11 would be 9/10 and the 747-4/8 would be a 7.5/10 IMHO.

Go get the md-11 you wont be disappointed

MD11 for sure. All kinds of routes, not typical Boeing and has almost the NGX quality

I have to sit on the fence. Have both, fly the 747 more :D,But if you are wanting a contrast to ngx, get the md11

MD-11 ;) It's excellent! I also recommend getting the Turbine Sound Studio sound packs to go allong with it.
