For FTX Global I saw screenshots that are both superb and awful - so go figure!

I like beer. Had some the other night over dinner with Matthijs Kok. Who would have thought? Two arrogant Dutchmen, supposed 'bad boys' of the FS community having a laugh and a bit of banter. Anyone watching us would have wanted to join in. We're both teddy bears really, all marshmallow on the inside.

 

What we also have in common is we just don't put up with BS.

 

But I have to say, this topic has provided me with an immense amount of free entertainment, particularly given the OP was faking it. Priceless. AVSIM just keeps on giving, thanks Tom!

Forgive my writing style as it's fairly early here and my eyes are not what they used to be at this time.

 

What I find upsetting ('and gets my back up') Orbx, is the way you treat customers who give you general constructive criticism in your forums. Users who have parted with their dollars for your software deserve some respect and I don't really see that in some of the return comments on your forum.

 

What does it say about the fact that I (like many I have seen in forums) don't feel comfortable posting constructive criticisms in your forums? As soon as they mention anything like it, they are verbally abused.

 

Maybe you have illusions of grandeur my friend. You have a software company; I have medals.

_{Wanted to chime in here.  I have FTXG and I am very happy with their texture renditions of the planet.  I have no doubt the open LC products will improve on the landclass limitations imposed by FSX which FTXG is bound to.  Sorry to the OP that FTXG does not portray his home state accurately but there is more to FTXG in the not to distant future that I am sure will correct the famous SW part of the USA.  Until then explore the rest of the planet there is lots to see I am sure!!!}

I have left my "negative" comments on the Orbx site directly to JV. I also requested that he delete my account and know that I will NEVER purchase an ORBX product now or in the future. I believe customers have a "right" to be heard and the OP only expressed his views about a product. I am happy without FTXG or any of their products. My opinion and you have a right to yours..................

FTX global cost same like only 2 GEX (or UTX) regions... To cover whole world with GEX would be at least 230$(and this is not whole world, some regions are "coming soon" - additional purchase, of course). Now, how much cost to cover allmost whole world with GEX + UTX? UTX has approximately same price like GEX, so at least 500$!

 

And if you want to install this in P3D you need to buy separate version which is the same, but you need to pay twice!

I agree GEX is down an out FTX Global Knock it Out . FTX Global has come to stay like it or not for GEX . I had a feeling something like this was coming i wonder what took them so long . Is it that everyone is purchasing global an GEX fan has left the building or what ?

You need to read this entire topic. The OP here, if that is who you are referring to, was a fraud. I would be willing to bet that he wasn't even 30 years old, let alone the grandfatherly type that he was portraying himself as. I would even go so far as to guess that he doesn't even own the product. Dominic, his real name, hails from the UK and was trolling, I suspect.

First - FTXG is a great product!

 

Second - Anyone who doesn't like it is a Yo-Yo!
