The only true FSX tweak

Featured Replies

For anyone searching for the ultimate tweak for FSX, add these lines to your fsx.cfg:

[RELIGION]

God = Nick N.

Devil =  J.V.

As always, dependent or your hardware, your mileage may vary so if this doesn't work for you, just reverse the entries.

Brian:  I am NOT the Messiah

Arthur: I say you are Lord, and I should know, I've followed a few..

That tweak seemed to mess up my sim Dave.  Now when I added in this tweak, I did notice a nice improvement though:

[AWESOME]

777=PMDG

Chris Sunseri

I usually add:

[PLEASE]

DontBreak=1

Sent from my Apple communications device.

The best tweak I've found is my credit card. Almost every time I use it at a computer hardware or flightsim related store, my simulator experience improves dramatically.

but one thing that I noticed reading the latest version of "the FSX Bible" by NickN was that he does not recommend ( nor does it tell not to use ) that AffinityMask in your FSX.CFG?

I have long been using the value 14 (I own an i5 2500 processor), but I might try erasing that entry from my P3D cfg ...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Those are very clever.

Should be as simple as:

[DREAMSETTINGS]

Stutterfree=1

NoBlurries=1

GoodFPS=1

InstantLoadTime=1

Daniel Holm

[FalseProphets]

Ignore=1

Best tread right now (for me ).

Added some more:

[GRAPHICS]

DowhateverYouhaveto,FrameratesMorethan30.

(did not work)

Goran Arvnell

Or of you want to use Dzriecki Design New York X or the Carenado SR22 G1000 then you should use this tweak :-

[NASA_MODE]

SuperComputer=1

I recently tried

[FAMILYISSUES]

forcechildrensleepingwhenairborne=true

Never works...

Whats about this one:

[sUPPORT]

Customer_stupid = true

Developer_errors = false

Greetings, Chris

If you have a Wife you are advised to enter

[spouse]

withwife=true

Then further down below the [Trusted] section but must be above [pointofinterestsystem] you can add

[Permissions]

addonpurchaseallowedbydoinghousechores=1

This can free up more flight time by reducing conflict but may introduce the need to enter 'nagging=false' under the [sound] section thus also changing 'Sound_Fader to 0' for best results (Temporary setting only as may produce CTD's).

Good luck.

Kind Regards

Simon.

[LIFE]

CommonSense=0

With all the 'tweeks' that have been recommended there never seem to be any that optimize the multi-tasking pilot trying to enjoy a bit of diversion during the stable, quiet cruise phase of flight.  So - I was forced to develop my own.  For example:

[FOOTBALL_SEASON]

KeyPlaysOnFinal=0

BrideYelling_'HowTheF*%kCouldYouDropThat'_WithMicKeyed=False

CommercialsOnWhenViewingTimeAvailable=0

TexansWin=True
