.at least Angle of Attack got their 777 judging by their blog post!

I wouldn't think they would get beta copies so it must be a final release. I think the party is starting!

They've released their last 3 iterations on a Thursday, which is smart.  My best guess was another Thursday release, but it's not looking like it at the moment, however ... there is still time.  :)

A price like 77,72 would be nice.

I understand why some people say 80$ + for the B777 is to much. I have the same with the B737NGX which is a lot cheaper. I don't like the plane and although I know PMDG did a fantastic job it is just not my thing I'll spend 69$ on.

The MD-11 was more expensive but was an instant buy for me and the B777 will be as well. I can always skip the -300 though but knowing me I will buy that one to.

Best regards,

It was...

August 4th, 2011 was a thursday... and quite late/early I can see. Found my old order info. I made my purchase at 03:57 in the morning (GMT).

Damn. Looks like my plans to fly a longhaul won't work. Tomorrow - unless it's out by morning Europe time... - I am out in the evening (birthday obligations). Saturday - chores. In the night - I need sleep. Getting up early Sunday for an airfest.

Interesting debate on price. I think the only way to look at this is the number of hours spend using the add on. I have bought tubeliner add ons in sales - you know who I mean - for 10 bucks or less that have given vastly less value than any of my PMDG planes. The NGX is easily the most cost efficient add on in my hangar, by far and away. Indeed, although I am stoked about the 777 and have my cc cocked and loaded, this does not in any way shape or form mean that the NGX will gather dust. It will absolutely remain the weapon of choice for those short haul hops.

For me the real excitement with the 777 is making those long hauls as accessible and time efficient as the NGX short hauls.

OMG I cannot wait!!!

At least no one has asked if it will be released for FS9... ^_^

I just can´t understand the total acceptance of people to shell out 100 dollars for an addon. No matter what the hype. There is absolutely no reason to set a price for a plane addon that high!

PMDG is always on the pricey side, but their addons are worth it....but everything has an end. There is no reason to set the price for the 777 that high, absolutely none. The development of the NGX was far longer and probably had more new tech inside than the 777 and yet it is 69,99. So people should set their hypelevel to lower values and should reconsider the comments about "I will pay what is asked, no matter what the price".

I personally stand my by judgment and think that PMDG will set the price at 79,99 or at 89,99 at the upper level. At 89 dollars it would be the most expensive addon from PMDG to date and I don´t think they would do that.

I understand that they develop a niche product for a niche market, but they have done so for many years and didn´t have to set the prices up to rediculous levels to survive and to further develop top addons.

Don´t get me wrong....I am a total PMDG ######, but even then there is a point at which I would just say no.

Do you shop at Walmart?

Do you shop at Walmart?

In today's crumbling house-of-cards bebt-based economy, what choice do we have...?
