February 12, 201412 yr I do not understand why some of us are so negative. There are many producers who bring to the market a/c and sceneries I will never buy, but that´s fine with me. Somebody else will buy them. If you don´t like like Carenado, do not buy them (why to read topics of their products in the first place).
February 12, 201412 yr Wow, there's plenty of hate towards Carenado. I only own one of their aircraft so I can't judge their overall quality, but are the systems they make that bad?

With Carenado doing the Hawker 850 along with Just Flights attempt at it, we will probably never see this aircraft done with good systems, and that's what is the great pity here for those who enjoy system realism

That is somewhat similar to the 850. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 12, 201412 yr They're definitely not "systems simulators". But for that reason I still love their old GA stuff...their 185, 208, 206, etc. Still believable flight models that look great and fun to fly on the go. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Carenado has some really fine models for FSX. I like the Baron 58 w/Turbo mod, the Cessna 337 w/Turbo Mod, and the C185 and C210. The Carenado imitation of the G1000 is laughable although I have all of them, just don't fly 'em. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 12, 201412 yr The Carenado imitation of the G1000 is laughable although I have all of them, just don't fly 'em. Something I'm wondering, now that the flight plan ability is added, is the Carenado G1000 better or still worse than the default?
February 12, 201412 yr Eaglesoftdg has the Hawker 400XP on their new work schedule. That is somewhat similar to the 850. Regards, Ray Correction Ray, we will be producing an entirely new project called the Hawker 400 XPR which contains a Collins PL21 System. It's based on the old Hawker 400XP airframe but new throughout and includes Winglets. http://xpr.hawkerbeechcraft.com/ We have no interest at all in doing the H850 or the Honda. B)

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Agree, especially the C185 Bush I like a lot (with the FM fix)! Also they do the only reasonable PA-28 Archer that I know of, and the only C152. So for non-complex aircraft they are quite ok. But I was massively disappointed by the G1000 in the T182, and won't touch a complex airplane/system from them again.
February 12, 201412 yr Something I'm wondering, now that the flight plan ability is added, is the Carenado G1000 better or still worse than the default? I don't know that the Carenado version is any better or worst than the old default but they are unique in that the engine monitoring page or pages are for that particular aircraft, C182 or SR22, etc. One of my gripes with Carenado is the total lack of documentation on their G1000 installations. Eaglesoftdg will be building the Hawker 400 XPR w/ winglets and PL21 avionics. Of course, you do know the Hawker 850 XP has winglets and PL21 avionics also. But I agree the R is very important. Heck without the R, I would just be "ay" B) Yes, the XPR has some great performance specs. I really like the almost 465 Kts fast cruise and the quick climb to altitude and that being FL450. That and the modern look with the special winglets and the Pro Line 21 gear. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 12, 201412 yr Hey! We like realism aswell! This comment made me smile. With all of the commercial games out now, when a young person decides to take on the learning process of flight simming, I think that’s awesome. Once saw a young simmer on YouTube who went through an entire 45 minute cockpit flow on the NGX – that was before I knew what a cockpit flow even was. I’d have no problem flying as his passenger one day. Ethan Edelson
February 12, 201412 yr Only trying to clarify and be accurate. B) The page you reference above contains the 400XPR and 800XPR not the H850 as depicted in the OP link to the Carenado announcement.
February 12, 201412 yr Those simmers that correlate realism with depth of systems modeling or scenery completeness have the choice of only purchasing products meeting their expectations. Likewise, there are simmers that enjoy simulated flight with less complexity or buying scenery products with a sufficient level of detail for their computers. Each of these groups have the choice to purchase from the few active developers in this business. We, the simmers that crave realism, should live and recognize those simmers that enjoy simulator products for different reasons, and the fact that there are active developers that still develop for them. Developers known for high-realism/complexity simulations that see a market for a product should not be deterred from producing it because another developer makes a less complex equivalent since each product would be a different, each for the right customer. I agree with you that there are different types of simmers but I also think the point of a simulation is to simulate something. Why get into a part of the simulation market when you have no intention of doing the planes you're simulating justice? If you're good at steam gauge aircraft, stick to that. I own a number of Carenado products, specifically their C90, C206, and 337 and I think they are fabulous and they get used regularly. I also own their TBM850 and am thoroughly frustrated with it, especially when I have just entered and flown a complete flight plan with the F1 Citation Mustang that also has a G1000. If Carenado correctly models the Hawker with a well simulated FMS and Navigraph support, I will buy it on day 1. There are a wealth of other airplanes they can create, I just don't understand why they are going into a part of the market they really have no intention doing justice to.
