June 11, 201411 yr My Gigabyte Titans go up to 995 mhz with GPU Boost. Wow, impressive ... on air cooling? What's the fan at 100%?
June 11, 201411 yr I am not having any issues except for the Aerosoft airbus - its not P3D ready What issues are you having Richard? I have over 100 AXE hours in P3D v2 and all appears fine to me. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
June 11, 201411 yr Hi Dean - having a bit of terrain blurry issues - does not happen with the lesser power hungry aircraft - any thoughts Rich Sennett
June 11, 201411 yr Wow, impressive ... on air cooling? What's the fan at 100%?Will check it this friday and come back to you.For checking I use GPU-Z and Gigabytes OC utility. Ik your Titan has GPU Boost 2 I am sure it will go towards 995 mhz boost too. June 11, 201411 yr EVGA Precision X has allowed me to go beyond 80 C (I don't recall reading 80C was a firmware cap only a default target for Boost 2.0) ... but I have EVGA GTX Titan SuperClocked version which comes overclocked already with boost clock at 928Mhz ... I was able to hit 964Mhz at 103% power and temp cap 83 C. Target fps was 36. P3D set to Unlimited. I can't say it increased my fps significantly but it did reduce fluctuations in my fps which provides for a more consistent experience. But like I said, 4X SGSS AA with 16X AF @ 2560 x 1600 does benefit from the increased frequency. I'd recommend getting a water cooling solution for the GPU (many solutions out there) ... I believe on water I should be able to hit 980Mhz and run 20C cooler ... memory clocks remain unchanged. What I find most interesting is that the OC does indeed improve fluidity which tells me the GPU is doing A LOT of work and is currently the "bottleneck" with my current P3D and NI configuration. Cheers, Rob. I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC w/ ACX Cooler; it comes overclocked with its core clock set at 967MHz and its boost clock set at 1020MHz. So I'm not further overclocking it at all, but am just using the EVGA Precision X software for its Frame Rate Target, and that alone keeps my FPS more consistent, which definitely reduces the stuttering in urban areas (the only place that it has ever been that noticeable for me. I'm guessing that my GPU could be overclocked a bit more with EVGA Precision X, as it rarely exceeds 65C (and the fan rarely runs higher than 50%), but I don't want to risk damaging it. Besides, P3D is running great for me, so I'm not sure I would see much different. ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
June 11, 201411 yr Arwen - I would leave it as is - so I think you have nailed my thoughts on this also Rich Sennett
June 12, 201411 yr Crossfire / SLI support oh pretty please! Would love to drop in the liquid cooled AMD 295x2 !
June 12, 201411 yr Guys - new to this thread and being inquisitive, from what i am reading i simply download the EVGA Precision X utility and set the frame rate to 30 while set to unlimited in P3D?... Is that the gist of all this? June 12, 201411 yr Ta Spirit - nice and brief -beauty bro! ^_^ EVGA Precision X is also very useful to monitor the GPU and also very nice to control it. Try changing the max. temperatur setting if you think it's getting too hot. It works very well. Spirit

June 12, 201411 yr FPS and blurries are no longer a problem with all the tweaks on offer in the community. But I'm having some nasty stutters and those I just cant get rid of. AF=85 solved it for me a while ago, but now they (the stutters) are back and worse than ever. I think I've pretty much tried every tweak mentioned here at Avsim (not only this thread), and now I have even reinstalled Windows and completely reset my system. Clean install P3Dv2. St-st-st-t-t-t-utters away like it's hardcoded to do so. But I'll be lurking the forums and watching for new tweaks and patches from LM, and one day I'm gonna fly stutter-free into the sunset. I know stutter-free exists. I've seen it. And once you've had that you can never go back. i9 9900k - 32 gb RAM @ 3200mhz - 2070 RTX 8gb
