April 13, 201511 yr I believe they say up to 20%. 50 fps to 60 fps is both 10 fps and 20% improvement. I reckon what this means in practice is that most people can go one notch higher on the autogen density. Shuai Li

FPS but Rob has told me has not seen this so have to revisit - whats going on is they have mixed in color within the groups of trees so it looks less repetitive which is a very nice touch especially in fall - one other thing I noticed is sprinkled single trees all over which I dont recall being like that before - hmm - see if I can post a pic in a min Rich Sennett

April 13, 201511 yr Just a couple of notes: 1) Every now and then I see folks testing products that offer better frame rates yet still have their FPS locked, whether it's in the sim or using video driver software (e.g. nVidia Inspector). 2) My assumption regarding ORBX's FPS claim is that it would have to do with a CPU-bottlenecked situation; thus, if your CPU is not bottlenecked, I would expect that you not see a gain. A suggestion regarding the latter: check for any gains in an autogen-dense area, preferably urban. Considering that both the building and vegetation autogen will start bottlenecking your system, I would really expect that if there was a gain from the Trees HD product (via more efficient textures and modeling), you'd see it there.
