November 18, 201510 yr Had my first pattern in the Q400 I was even able to start the engines Little different than the CRJ but worked right away for me. Im also deeply impressed by that airframe and its performance. 33+ fluid and smooth FPS at KSFOHD+ORBX NCA Like the HUGS as well A definit keeper in my hangar. November 18, 201510 yr Has the FPS become worse? The pilot edition has always better FPs for me than the PMDG 737NG. I didn't get to spend a lot of time playing with it last night, but if there is a reduction in frame rates I would say it's nominal. Even when using the HGS, my frames are staying in the high 20's (I have mine locked at 30 FPS) and this is on a sub-par system (AMD 6200 3.8 GHZ, 550ti graphics card). Richard P. Kelly
November 19, 201510 yr Wow Dash 8 is an impressive airplane. The level of details astonishing, fps is great. Worth every single penny ! November 19, 201510 yr Great bird, flies great in P3Dv3 with the .dll updated from the website. Uninstall your current version, install Pro version, copy over the updated .dll in panel folder, good to go! Flies and performs great. I love my PMDG planes, but this one is just as good and way better on framerates. I'm not sure why all the big guys don't use a similar external FDE; it is such a better approach on this type aircraft. Happy to support development with the update to PRO. November 19, 201510 yr I am sure its cool but I just think of the practicality of arranging a session. You have to find a partner and both be available at the same time for the same agreed upon flight. Sounds like someone could make an app for this that would do the matching......besides, I have my FS2Crew FO !! Does the upgrade save your calibrated throttle information from the pilot version? I don't know Mark it was a fresh install, as I had not install the Q400 on this PC. David Murden. Not necessary to uninstall current version according to Majestic.
November 19, 201510 yr The PRO edition will uninstall the pilot version. You may want to copy and paste your pilot version to your desktop before running the Pro instaler. Then you can copy your repaints and cfg entries into the new aircraft cfg. Remember to right click on the installer and "run as administrator". regards, Craig
November 19, 201510 yr I was wondering about the prices that various sites offer this at: PCAviator charges $79.95 usd Simmarket charges intl $75.00 usd Justflight charges $89.99 usd I bought my original copy from JustFlight so of course I will need to purchase my upgrade from them but its amazing how much more expensive they are than other sites. Usually all addons are pretty much priced uniform across the various sites except for this one. They can charge whatever they want I was just amazed at the price differences. Sean Green
November 19, 201510 yr Can you change the currency you pay in. Mine is set as USD, however if I pay in EUR its cheaper.. any idea? Brent Lewis

November 19, 201510 yr Looks like i have to upgrade then, I found the handflying a little strange in the standard edition. Is it better with the Pro edition ? I have the videolearning collection from Airline2Sim and they also said it was easier to fly in real life. Anyone with Saitek Yoke who can help me setup deadzones etc via FSUIPC specific for this bird (A nice FSUIPC feature btw)? Thanks Michael moe Michael Moe
November 19, 201510 yr I found the handflying a little strange in the standard edition. In what way do you find it strange? The Q400 is known for being a handful, hence the "Crash 8" nickname. It is easier flying in reality generally, but I put that down to the additional feedback (i.e. the motion of the thing) and better weighted controls. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.

Well , like you say it felt like a tank with wings . Kind of lag and not so response friendly. But again it could also be a combination of my Saitek yoke not being setup correctly . I have FSUIPC calibrated the yoke with no dead zones i guess as i dont know how to. Just bought the Pro version so its going to be EKCH-ENGM tonight. Shared cockpit is something we can look into later but for an Dash8 armateur like me it will be a nice addition . Michael Moe Michael Moe
November 19, 201510 yr Great plane, works flawlessly out of the box in P3D3. Thanks, Majestic, for the best plane for the FSX family. Peter
