Have to agree there. Way too large. It's taking up almost a quarter of the full screen browser window here. gb. YSSY. February 24, 20179 yr Author I started this thread this morning, but wanted to take some time to form an opinion before posting it. I viewed it on three different monitors where I work including a 4K monitor, plus on my setup at home. Frankly, I think it looks terrible compared to what it used to look like. It's slow, hard to navigate, too much wasted space, and I don't care for the layout, and did I mention that it's slow. The emoticons don't even work or at least I can't figure out how they work. Such is progress I guess.. LOL
February 24, 20179 yr It's fine on my desktop, but slow on my iPhone 5. And when I try to use the menu on the upper right it makes me have to scroll sideways to navigate. Shouldn't have to scroll sideways in a mobile version. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
February 24, 20179 yr This giant very boring picture on top - please, complete waste of time and space. It is not even circulating or changing it's always the same Plus what is the point how does this improve things. It seems like "change for change" in some places without serious debate a functionality. Take it out or let's user with a cookie slide away permanently in settings. And why text DoubleSpace by default, again colossal waste of space and time. When making changes, think of improvements, make it faster, make it more essential, allow users to move through quickly and exchange as much information as possible that's the whole point of this exercise. This definitely is step backwards, like going back to the last century when nobody knew what to do with this new media and they would putting cute things around and kip decorating like christmas tree. February 24, 20179 yr I think the AVSim logo should be larger. Asus Rampage VI Extreme Encore(water Cooled) EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Hybrid, 64 DD4 @ 2800 2 x 2x M.2 in raid 0.
February 24, 20179 yr Huge wasted space everywhere, between lines and topics, at least on a high resolution monitor (2560x1440) for me. Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

February 24, 20179 yr I am sure that I will get used to the forums, now that there is an announcement I realize why the forums had to be changed. I did not know this when I posted about the change earlier today. While the header is a great pic it should be used as a menu background IMO the old AVSIM logo does not look very nice superimposed on the header pic, make it transparent and it should look a lot better. \Robert Hamlich/

The previous version is obsolete and shortly will be out of support. Since AVSIM pays for the support, there was really no choice in the matter. Pity the old forum is gone. I really hate the new forums, and that's not a matter of getting used to, i know. But at least, thanks to your answer now we know there was no choice in the matter and we must try to live with it, or move to some other flightsimulator forum. February 25, 20179 yr I think we have some how been taught to complain, yea the header graphic is overly large, but clearly, the update of the forum for security reasons also included change up of the old forums structure (not AVSIM's fault) they just have to change it more to how it used to be structured. From experience , it just takes a bit of time. Most everything can be changed and again it takes a little time.
