What are folks going to use for takeoff data?...or is that built in?

Well, it comes with the EFB "DAVE" on the captains side. This will calculate V speeds etc.

Failing that, you can use the performance charts in the documentation.

Is there the ability if anybody knows to load weight and fuel from within the sim like you can with PMDG aircraft?

You bet.  Via either the Tablet (Dave) or the CRJ Manager (which can be used with the sim running).

Hans is a perfectionist and I've flown enough of his gems over the years to trust him explicitly.

Just for my own education, what are the other aircraft that Hans has produced?

The one of his creations which I loved to fly most in FSX is the Piper Cheyenne.

Anything Digital Aviation

Also the ATR 42 from Flight 1 a few years back

I'm sure there are many more. I believe he also works on Pro level sims.

It was an ATR72 and I wish it updated for P3D

Also, apolgises I know nothing about CRJ's can someone confirm when Air Canada say CRJ and CRA they mean the 700 is the CRJ and the CRA is the 200 ??

CRJ is either a CRJ-100 or CRJ-200.

CRA is a CRJ-700 in the body of a CRJ-900...externally it's a CRJ-900 but it has fewer seats, capacity of 70 iirc.  These are unique to Air Canada I believe, and are being retrofitted to increase the capacity to that of a standard CRJ-900.

Too bad, the CRA's were some of the best aircraft in the Air Canada fleet for economy leg room.

hope that helps.

Hans is a perfectionist and I've flown enough of his gems over the years to trust him explicitly.  If it needed to be pulled two years ago, I know there will have been a good reason for it.  They're hardly going to say "Nah, we'll not bother collecting our return on our investment for a while".  It's lead time is what it is.   Not to accept that and to get all catty and sarcastic is just childish.   [/Rant].

I'm not doubting he's a perfectionist at all. I'm simply doubting that it's truly going to be released, given the amount of times it's been delayed (8 Years!!!). Not getting my hopes up again.

I think the project could be in the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's slowest add-on development

Poor marketing campaign, three shots of the developed product a day before release? Geez.

Personally, I don't know why people give so much time in responding to the "Negative Nellys" and naysayers on here.   Just leave their comments to sit here unresponded to!

This is an "hour 1" purchase for me.   7-8 GMT is 8am-9am tomorrow for me - a nice civil time to get up, stick the coffee machine on and get ready for the mayhem!

The more people who say they're not interested or waiting for reviews the better - means the download servers will be quieter teehee....

Very simple, you always here this from those folks who just can stand that out there, there (are) other excellent developers besides  what they consider their only best developer.

Aerosoft is a darn power-house and they do the best of the best.  and that is unbearable to some people.
