I wonder why the Download is more expensive than the physical cd version?

Hows the wing flex in it

Great, almost bends over the aircraft...

Naah, it doesn't have wing flex

I noticed that new CRJ gears don't have shock absorbers while landind, in the official Aeriosoft new CRJ Tube video, is that confirmed ? :bengong:

Managed to get a quick test flight in.  This is not a review, or even an established opinion yet but a couple of points to note. This is in P3Dv4:-

(+)

  • It's pretty nice!
  • Not the absolute best VC texturing in the world but pretty good.  Not to TFDi 717 standards.
  • Sounds are top rate.
  • Systems coverage seems comprehensive.
  • Performance for me is on par with NGX and TFDi 717. No better, no worse.

(-)

  • There's no ability to remove the yoke and we need this. The PFD/MFD are tiny (a real world CRJ phenomenom!) and the yoke gets in the way a little.
  • [Possible bug]:  There are some pre-prepared routes in the FMC, but when I select these, they do not load into the FMC itself.  I get the "route loaded" message but the route doesn't then load into the active route (on FPL or LEGS pages).
  • [Possible bug]: I had some odd NAV issues; one where NAV mode was tracking towards the waypoint ANEKI, and then turned to the subsequent waypoint 20nm out from ANEKI.   I performed some DTOs to ANEKI but the aircraft just didn't want to get closer than 20nm to it. :)    This didn't occur with all waypoints but it did occur with two (different continents apart). I can confirm that the FMC NAV source was set correctly to FMC1.
  • [Possible bug]:  I cannot get any lighting on the overhead panel.  I've read the manual on this and have located and activated all internal lighting, and have rotated the overhead lighting knob to it's max but still have zero ohd lighting. I tried with Dynamic lighting on and off in P3Dv4.

"Umm, Dave... did you take the bulb out the overhead again?"

  • This one is very subjective but a biggie for me:  there is no function to assign key commands, and the heading bug has not been binded to the FSX/P3D heading bug command.  This means that the aircraft is 100% "control by mouse" at the moment.   I personally detest adjusting heading bugs in aircraft using the mouse, so would have loved the ability to assign this (and preferably the other custom AP commands, like NAV, HDG, SPEED, etc).  This will not bother a lot of people but it's a big disappointment for me and will reduce my enjoyment of the product.  Once the LINDA guys make a profile, I'll make a LUA file for keyboard command use, as others did for the AS Airbus.

I've admittedly concentrated on initial negatives here - there is a lot to like!   FDE feels good and there's a general feel of quality to it.   "Dave" has perhaps been over-egged a little by AS;  there's not a great amount to it.  Mainly just some options and the ability to cheat a little by uploading some values straight to the FMC.    It is nowhere near as comprehensive as the "Right MCDU" on the AS Airbuses.

Reading your post, for which I thank you very much, let me think to stay far away from it at least until the 4-5th patch, assuming such patches will fix all the troubles.

PS, how about the landing gears shock absorbers ? Do they exist and properly work or it simply splashes on the tarmac like a metal plate ? Thx !

But you can load flightplans from PFPX into the FMC, right?

I assume that this is because the preview video was shot in REPLAY mode. There are a LOT of subtle features missing in the bog standard Replay mode, and I suspect that displaying the shock absorbers on the landing gear is one of them.

These displays look grossly unrealistic compared to the real thing...

So far all I could accomplish is setting up EZDOK cams. I can't get the yoke to hide nor my GF TQ6 to work with the throttles. I was able to use the keyboard to control the throttles and lift of. But, since my throttle quadrant is not working with this addon, it has to be grounded.

The only other airplane I ever had an issue with the throttle was the Airbus. It took payware FSUIPC & a LUA script to get it to work.

I want to get this resolved so that I can do a flight.

Bummer. These comments are definitely giving me 2nd thoughts about getting it.

Doesn't work. Just makes the yokes 'flicker' briefly.

Wow.
