November 15, 20187 yr I have installed 416.94 and it runs as smooth as any driver before in P3D and XP11. No problems so far. Regards, Chris -- PC: Intel 13900K, Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090, 64GB Fury Beast DDR5 RAM; Display: Varjo Aero VR
November 15, 20187 yr Maybe P3D will be considered a AAA title someday....can you all imagine seeing or hearing "simulator ready driver" .🙈🙉 🙊 😂

November 15, 20187 yr Like many others I have never experienced any change in Prepar3D performance after changing drivers. I always immediately install the latest driver available. Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

November 15, 20187 yr I think I remember one occasion when Prepar3d was mention in the Nvidia driver release notes relatively early in the life of V2.

November 15, 20187 yr I would honestly be amazed if Prepar3D (or any flight sim) could get optimized via GeForce Experience like other game titles do, at least well enough to configure the sim for 'optimal' performance taking add-on(s) into account. That would be something. Anyone remember Bjote's Tweaks? I stay up to date with all the drivers regardless and also haven't found any better (or worse) results from them. November 15, 20187 yr Author Why do I go to the latest driver? That's simple. I always upgrade my software when requested on my LG or Samsung TV's , my DVD Blu-ray, my printer, my Router firmware, my iWatch, and my iPhone (I'm actually a beta tester for software on the iPhone and iPads for Apple). In just about every case, the software upgrades have improved or added to the features of the older software. Besides, with NVidia, I CAN ALWAYS GO BACK. I do clean installs and save all my old drivers in a folder on my one hard drive. In the words of Bill Gates....."If it ain't broke.....BREAK it! " After all, progress can only occur if we break with older methods, and attempt to try the new methods. Stay with the old if you like, but I'll keep attempting to curiously "investigate" the new developments in my hobby. I'm glad I didn't stick with FSX. It was running alright, I guess. But the vast improvement promised by P3d attracted me to try it, and boy, am I glad I did! Stan

November 15, 20187 yr I had the exact same reaction after 411.70. This is an excellent driver IMO. The ambivalence may be that the driver has not changed for their setup but rather how the configuration is exposed and handled by the OS / game. Much better then the sand you have already.
November 16, 20187 yr The reality with nVidia GPU drivers is that their updates are made mostly for SPECIFIC reasons concerning new game releases or game updates, etc. And sometimes their drivers are updated for Operating System reasons (like a new Windows related update) and/or hardware reasons. The "LIST" of reasons are included with each new driver release, but most people just arbitrarily do the update without even reading the list to find out if it's needed for them. If none of the reasons are specific to your hardware or OS...or even MORE relevant to us as P3D users...if nothing listed is specific to P3D...you are most likely experiencing a placebo effect in whatever "improvements" you perceive in P3D. OR...…. I've lost count of how many times I've "updated" a user's GPU drivers using the SAME version of the drivers they already had installed (without their knowledge I was installing the SAME driver version they already had). They were "AMAZED" at how much it improved their PC's performance and "looks". Of course, that was because their lack of user maintenance on their computer had resulted in their current drivers either getting corrupted or their computer was just plain "bloated" after a while. Older nVidia drivers will work just as well for P3D as the most current drivers will...depending on the individual user's computer setup. Way too many people just don't understand that concept. "Newer" is not always "Better". And in many cases, not even "Necessary". 😎 Edited November 16, 20187 yr by FalconAF Rick Ryan
