MFS is still in alpha, it's way too early to lock down a release date.

My hunch is December of 2020 at the very earliest.

December of 2020 at the very earliest? I do not believe that.

Incidentally, I would really like to know the date, so that I can dose my sleeping aid exactly. It would be the horror to wake up when the game was already 3 months in the market. Then I would have wasted 3 months. I want to wake up to the release. Not sooner, not later 😁😁😁

Check out these new stills from the Insider Site:

Hmm, looks like those pictures are now gone from the Insider Site?

Former MSFS Alpha Tester, current member of the MSFS Stream Team.

just saw the trailer. This is some really impressive stuff and I feel that even if they only deliver 50% of expectations it *still* absolutely murders the competition in the looks-department.

Add then detailed aircraft from the likes of PMDG and I can just about retire my other sims.

The third one I posted is still there (just looked) but the other two aren't  I recall they were having a small issue when updating the site yesterday... maybe those two fell through the cracks.

Honestly, idk, I was just asking because looked like wingflex to me.

I know the B787 flex its wings a lot. But I don’t see B748 very often. Never noticed.

Boeing-747-8-First-Flight-Lufthansa-land

Seems to me that this one has more wingflex than the one in the trailer, but then again maybe it's just the angle.

Anyway this is only alpha footage so they'll probably get this fixed before the official release.

Well..

This just looks awful...

No way I’m buying this

😛

I think the sim will come much earlier than end of 2020, the way they have been bringing out information in the last weeks, episodes (next week we have the 3rd and in 2 weeks we have the 4th), the fact the game is already playable, makes me think we are not far away.

They have a very strong marketing dpmt and they are planning very carefuly when they are releasing what and I do not think they can keep up this level of info in the coming 9 months or so.

That they haven't shown the release date, I think it has more to do that it will depend on the Alpha 1 and 2 tests and may slightly vary depending on those.

My guess Q1 2020 😉

Unfortunately I think this is more wishful thinking.

AMD 9800X3D,  NZXT X73 RGB AIO COOLER, Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite WIFI7, 64GB 6000MHZ RAM, 4TB Samsung Pro NVME, 4 TB Crucial P3+ NVME, 4TB Crucial SSD, Gigabyte Gaming OC Geforce RTX5090, Antec C8 ARGB Case, X55 JOYSTICK/THROTTLES, LG 4K C4 42" TV/Monitor 120 Hz, 2 Dell 1080 monitors. Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle. Thrustmaster TPR Pedals. Moza AB6 FFB Joystick, Pimax Crystal Light VR, Tobii Eye tracker, Steelseries Arctis 7+ Wireless Headphones.

I do not foresee them stretching out public alphas over a year.

My guess is it goes into early access mid-2020.

So, a couple of alphas, a beta or 2, early access, then a final Gold release..

And we gotta go through all this wishful thinking until then. Yawn.

"Onward & Upward" ...
To the Stars, & Beyond...

I think they might aim for the summer, and then bring in seasons by the time it turns to autumn/ winter. Oh no, sorry that was what i hope will happen.

this is one game where I hope there isn’t an open beta. I’d rather it comes out with a good level of polish, with a big bang

Whatever the final release date may be, I think it is really refreshing to see someone in charge who obviously has expertise in project management. Compared to the usual amateur "project management" seen in other FS projects with all the missed deadlines and wrong promises. With the well structured announcements and an ongoing news flow in place, it is really not that hard to wait. I'm really looking very much forward to 2020...
