May 29, 20206 yr Great video. One item that would be nice for improvement down the road, after release is how gouges like 4th he ADF needle acts or reacts. It would be nice if the gauges and needles reflected how the do in real life and not like an on and off light switch. May 29, 20206 yr Commercial Member The only thing that's missing is Voice Recognition ATC. I fly with Pilot2ATC now (in X-Plane) and it's amazing. And in VR it's a life saver. ATC window is a huge immersion killer. Isntead, I just hild a button on my yoke, and say "Delta 737, ready for departure, runway 19R", or "request descent to flight level 140" and ATC approves or denies etc. And I can read back their clearances - but that's too difficult, reading back SIDs and STARs and multiple taxyways is hard, because it's difficult to understand how they pronouns abbreviations, so I let "copilot" do readbacks and switch radios. While he does a readback I hear it again. Funny thing is that speech recognition is done by Microsoft and is a default Windows thing - it's built-in in Windows 10. So they won't have to do much to implement it. And it's so much better to have conversations with ATC. And as much as I love the visuals, there is no way I buy it until it comes out in VR. After flying in VR flight sim is not the same anymore. Flat monitors are not appealing at all, unless you have a full cabin simulator. Maybe not even then. The immersion is almost perfect. With visuals like FS2020 is showing it would be flat out amazing. VR also has built-in mic, so ATC by voice would be easy. But it doesn't look like they are doing it. ATC window will annoy me for a long time... Or I'd have to resort to 3rd party Pilot2ATC again. It's nice, but it's a crutch. This thing should be built-in. TTS voice in FS2020 is more natural. Maybe someone else could develop a voice recognition interface for the FS2020 ATC? May 29, 20206 yr I noticed in the Feedback Snapshot that one of the issues is still Installation. It has been there almost since the start. Would be really nice to know what the problem is. May 29, 20206 yr I was hoping to see more about the AI ATC capabilities. They're going to introduce real world traffic so I'm hoping that they have ATC to match the heavy traffic.

So we've been talking about it but are Asobo actually listening? Are they? How do you know? I've see numerous posts in the past from users here saying tree size is fine, so maybe Asobo has the same opinion? Do you really think that MS/Asobo would spend so much money putting together PhD-qualified teams, acquiring specialist AI tech companies, setting up world-simulating streaming tech, and then decide at the end of a multi-year long project making what is clearly going to be the best world-simulation ever seen in gaming, that 'Yeah, lol, let's leave the trees obviously oversized in the final product'. I've not. That's why I said 'obviously', as in 'clear to all', as in 'not dependent on personal perception'. Without breaching the Alpha NDA I think I can safely say a) you can see in many screenshots that the trees are obviously oversized in places and b) the devs are clever, perceptive people. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
