If people like to compare the PMDG with FsLabs than start a new thread about that ... 🤔 Yeah the 10th thread on the subject 🙂 1 hour ago, GCBraun said: My inital comment was precisely about the NGXu and that it felt lackluster. Some potential improvement areas: Better enviromental effects, including icing and snow; Improved sound system, including flight-deck/cabin/external view variations; GSX integration; LNAV tweaks (not totally sure about this, but in the flights I've done so far the LNAV performance seemed sub-optimal). IMHO, PMDG has (yet again) opened the door for criticism charging such a high premium for what should have been an NGX patch. I would not be surprised if we end up having to pay for the 777 update bringing PBR, EFB and similar improvements whereas other add-on providers have been providing these features for free. I think from immersion perspective the NGXu is a step forward from the NGX - engine and cockpit sounds have improved significantly (I own the immersive audio add-ons but don't use them). The response to turbulence and wing flex has improved significantly as well. This is w/o going into the brand new cockpit and PBR (which specifically I agree should not be at an upgrade cost). It's a shame for that price they did not add the external effects which you have to pay for (in contrast to the FSLabs & Maddog) Shom MSFS2024 running on Win 11, 4K screen, Z790 AORUS ELITE AX-W, i9-14900K, MSI 3080Ti, Corsair 2x32GB 6000 MHz, 1+2TB M.2 NVMEs
July 5, 20205 yr Btw i have no problems with CP flight MCP ,EFIS and RAD ,NAV,TRANSPONDER and VRInsight CDUII in v5 . CDUII needs modification and i have a walkthrough (for v4 but its same procedure)in here if you do a search Michael Moe Edited July 5, 20205 yr by Michael Moe Michael Moe
July 5, 20205 yr Did anybody try the Immersive Audio 737NG CFM Immersion Soundpack V2 if it is compatible with the new v5 version? 🙂 PC- AMD Ryzen 7800X3D, 64gb 6400mhz RAM, Nvidia RTX4090
July 5, 20205 yr Did a testflight ESSA-EHAM with ORBX TE but performance struggled. Had EA on as well. Also Vpilot which again uses up to 10%cpu load so could also be that. Which options do you turn off for performance in ORBX TE? Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe

Turning it off also reduces the number of hovering houses and increases the resolution of ground textures. 😉 It also adds snow during the winter. Edited July 5, 20205 yr by flycln
July 5, 20205 yr So far I'm happy with the NGXu in V5. I've had two strange freezes. Once when i put in my navigraph password in the EFB. I had to manually close P3D. The other one was a similar freeze, but when entering something in the FMC. Anybody else? PMDG has done a very good job on the exterior of the airplane. Looking forward to doing a full flight tonight. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
July 5, 20205 yr I have a problem with the MCP lightning. Or it is off, or it is way to bright. There is nothing in between. All other internal lights seem to be ok. AMD 7 7700X, 32GB DDR5, RTX 5060ti 16GB, 2 x Samsung 1TB NVMe, 1 x 4TB sata SSD, Windows 11 Prof

I agree as for the NGXu the biggest visual improvement are the cockpit dimension which where so off in the NG also the FD are improved which I personally like... PBR despite all the raves it's still not on my quality level of what it could be, still to artificial. But it's at least a step in the right direction... André

July 5, 20205 yr Is PBR on the fuselage real or just a gimmick? I just saw clouds reflected on the wings of the default NGXu Ryanair livery when the sky was completely clear. July 5, 20205 yr PMDG said there were problems with PBR and there right the NGXu does not look as good in v5 as it does in 4.5. Hate the blue slates and a lot of switchers have a blue line. VC only views until 5.1 IN 4.5 the NGXu looks so good. Edited July 5, 20205 yr by Nyxx David Murden. Yes, I’m curious what PMDG’s GFO will offer. It’s been in development a long time, but appears to be finally close to release.
