This sim is quite different from the older FSX.. and takes some getting used to, for sure. You will soon find yourself able to master the controls / views / etc.. It DOES take some time.. 🙂 Bert
September 6, 20205 yr I dont have the sim but seeing all the comments I get the feeling that they did need more time but that MS was pushing for Aug 18. Anyway the horses have bolted and not coming back so thats that! Its fascinating watching how rapidly people are burrowing into the sim to find settings, how already some planes are being tweaked and how 3rd party stuff has already appeared with free offerings from Aerosoft and Orbx. I plan on getting the sim in about April or May next year and look forward to it, the screenshots look amazing and although I will keep XP11 as my primary sim (to jet about in my beloved Zibo) I will use MSFS exclusively to scoot about doing bush flights.

September 6, 20205 yr It's playable and it's stable, I'd say I'm happy to be able to play. But the patch ruined launching the game, I have a minute of black screen when using the no-intro launcher R5 3600 - GTX 1070OC - 32GB 3200 - NVME - 3440x1440 160Hz - VR(Quest 2) GarbagePoster™

I believe that is planned, but I’d like to see them solve some of the performance-related issues in the single-monitor version we now have before complicating things by bringing a second monitor into the mix. September 7, 20205 yr Or they could make it up to everyone and just fix the bugs and get it where it needs to be as a finished product as a thank you for all OUR beta testing on their behalf.... Edited September 7, 20205 yr by Flyfaster SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Grammar errors aside, I would find it hard to believe that the OP was not really aware that he was forced or asked to delay his purchase. As ShawnG has said or inferred, this comment, apart from being inane at best, it has nothing to do with the original post. I wonder if anyone forced you or asked you to respond in this manner? September 7, 20205 yr I can say..the product needs work. ..definitely.. but... I am VERY glad they released it. With everything going on this year, I prefer having this version of the sim over say having to wait to december or even next year. I (morbidly and perhaps sadly) wondered if I would ever get to use the sim earlier this year I still have xplane installed and intend to fly in it again but I havent loaded it once since th 18th... I fly incomplete MFS daily . I'm used to default airplanes from using them on xp. I am sure most of the inop buttons are going to stay inop.. just like with default xplane planes. So I'm not worried about that. The things that would have been better on launch are the vnav and generally inaccurately implemented functions in the gps. Flight model tweaks. Also the installer and stability (although ctds are par for the course with flightsim) would be better . And quirks in the ortho (that exist both in bing and google data) but also just the bing issues will be improved although I think that's more like end of 2021 stuff So .. I'm very happy they released it. Waiting months or more for a more polished sim ,but one that I'm sure would still have bugs, just alot less, is not worth it for me. Especially since I was buying the sim no matter what. I (I am saying myself, not the OP) could just sit out the release version and wait for it to be at release level if I found the bugs unacceptable. There are people whom have stated they are waiting so it's possible to do. And Microsoft's motivation doesnt matter .. the question is, choose: smoother launch MFS2021 vs incomplete mfs2020 ... I chose incomplete mfs2020. Both choices have me $59.99 lighter by the end of 2021, but the former gives me months of extra enjoyment during a fairly unenjoyable year. September 8, 20205 yr I don't understand this request from the OP. Its quite simple. Wait for a year or two before using it if you believe the sim is not ready for you. They may have released some updates by then. But the request that others do not get their hands on the sim until the OP believes its good enough for him is strange. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

There were some that felt it was released too early and should have been delayed. I made the point you did, let me use it now and not wait for it to be improved.
