September 4, 20205 yr Jörg Neumann already mentioned that they are working on a solution to allow sharing of user creations via the simulator itself. That would be, of course, the best option. One is the Flightsim Onestop Discord server, another is the database of the FS2020 Creation subreddit, and I also like to check the MSFS release radar on the German site Cruise Level.

Reddit is chaotic, but it's definitely where the MFS party is at. There's alot of fun reading there. Yes - that new site with addons and freeware is just awful with ads bloating the site completely and extremely basic functionality just listing stuff. Someone needs to step up and do a real repository / database. The one here really needs work. Time to fix that? Thanks for sharing! I have only created the one for my home in Idaho so far, but I have like 7 half done on my hard drive I am churning through, so be on the lookout for more soon! I am new to this forum. It's great to be here!
September 4, 20205 yr The avsim library is a 100 years old, and needs a big update before I would recommend making avsim the default place for addons. Sorry to say. Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
September 4, 20205 yr I think it's just unrealistic to expect one site or directory for all addons at this point. There's just waayyy to much going on among the freeware creators community for that. People will simply have to step out of their AVSIM filter bubble and see what other sites and communities have to offer. Maybe you guys @vgbaron could also overthink this rule about not being allowed to post links here, because it just seems silly to be allowed to "describe" ways to find content without simply being allowed to post links when the result is the same, people finding content. 😄 Reading this forum, I get the feeling that a lot of AVSIM regulars have no idea what MSFS has to offer already in terms of freeware. I mean, just have a look at a list of addon airports that have been released already. It's long, very long. And that's not even a complete list.
September 4, 20205 yr I agree with being able to post links including storefronts. This site is meant to be a help for us, and right now, being able to post those links would be very helpful! Andreas Stangenes http://www.youtube.com/user/krsans78 Add me on gamertag: Bullhorns78
September 4, 20205 yr The most useful thread posted on AVSIM in a long time. This is why I always prefer AVSIM. Thank you OP. MSFS
September 4, 20205 yr Quick question on the freebies...I downloaded the Quatam River Bush Strip (CQRA) and added it to my Community folder. My question is, are these community add-ons supposed to show up under Content in the sim? I looked for it, but it's not there. September 4, 20205 yr Are there any MSFS files here on Avsim? I've checked the library a few times and have yet to see any files in the Microsoft Flight Simulator section. James
