I just want to browse a single in-game marketplace (whether it's for freeware or payware). Also, if it's in-game then it renders freeware sites redundant and I imagine 99% of all downloads will go via the Asobo marketplace. Which also lets them have some control over copyright infringements. Matthew S
September 7, 20205 yr Saw this on the reddit FS creations thread. Its a sort of addon creations by way of a map including landmarks, airports, cities, etc. I think its great we already have all these creations, but I would think there should be some sort of check for quality control. Is it all adhering the SDK strictly? We are literally going to be seeing thousands of little fixes for the world data map. But will this affect performance? What happens when there is an official world map data update from Asobo? I imagine this will affect loading times, and may introduce stutters as the scenery loading engine scans and loads what is overridden from the community folder. That being said, Im thrilled someone fixed the iconic Matterhorn to actually look like the Matterhorn instead of a generic lump. And already a fix for the huge 200 storey tower in Melbourne. These fixes shouldve been done by Asobo, but thanks to these talents, they have accomplished it. Even a fix for the Bonanza finally having proper thrust. Great going guys! https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=17p1P-r3HPSclkr8EXtbM3TuzrLNZMpB7&ll=43.312137122538836%2C-19.27251459289738&z=2 CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

September 7, 20205 yr I haven't seen a single upload of MSFS freeware to Avsim! Is there something wrong with my search/link?

September 7, 20205 yr Interestingly enough, I was going to check out Atlantic City (default) just to see if all the buildings were modeled. I'm glad someone in the community has improved the city. I'm also hoping that Bader Field will be included. I did many flights (at night) to the airport before it shut down and it brings back great (WOW) memories. MSFS

Hopefully as more users get involved from around the world and want to see their homes represented, we’ll all be able to experience the world in a more satisfying way. I spent over two hours bush flying in the southeast corner of Madagascar yesterday, somewhere I don’t think I’ve ever been in a flight sim, with an insanely broad grin on my face. A decent quality Fort Dauphin airport would have rounded things off perfectly. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

If it makes you feel better, the US is full of neglected areas.. I'm not an official developer, but I've done scenery for older versions of FS. I focus on my own region, as 1) I care about my home the most, 2) Nobody else will likely do it, and 3) It's easy for me to take photos of buildings for generating textures and geometry where I live. Vic I am not sure about this. I tried to post a new topic with a link to my Idaho Bush Trip freeware and it wasn't approved. There is no ads on the site where the instructions for the bush flight are hosted, and it's free for anyone who wants it. So I am just as confused as ever. Haha Michael - your post was hidden because the first thing one sees is DONATIONWARE. This would appear as a blatant request for funds. Direct links to paypal and venmo. Including that in your zip is not a problem, just the direct kinks on your page. You are entitled to a fee for your work, it's just when the solicitation is "in your face. I just wanted to make it so people didn't have to download a zip file if they didn't want to, so I put all the information on a website post. I know I am sometimes cautious of what I download, so I wanted to give people the option to just have the information without being forced to download something. Thanks again!
