Lighting updates for default aircraft

Featured Replies

Hey pilots,

I am working on updating the lighting (taxi, landing, strobes, etc) for all the default planes. I've already completed the TBM930, the CJ4, and just now released the KingAir350 (you can now see the lights from inside the cockpit!)

Hope you enjoy them, more to more to come!

Thanks! Will try this out after I went offroad trying to taxi the cj4 tonight.

Just what I was looking for! Perfect, thanks 🙂 Hope for the a320 to come next.

Perfect mod, thanks!  Now strobes flash around the aircraft when flying thru clouds and splash on ground.

Nice work. Thanks very much. Not sure why they were so underwhelming originally. What happens when Asobo updates the sim and the aircraft itself? Does it still override it?

Yes, files in the community folder override (not overwrite!) the default files - so if Asobo were to change the default strobe lights to shoot unicorns out of the wings, you wouldn't see it until I update my files. On the flip-side of that - to uninstall any community mod, all you have to do is delete its folder and you're set.

Tried the TBM today...really liked it, nice job!

Please do the Baron, Bonanza & DA-62 external lighting as well. Heck do 'em all 🙂

hey @Uwajimaya it would be great to incorporate your lighting updates in our CJ4 systems mod. You can check it out here https://github.com/Working-Title-MSFS-Mods/fspackages.

Feel free to PM me or even better you can just do a PR on Github and add your files in. 👍

Here's what we've done on the CJ4 so far:
