October 28, 20205 yr Just now, GSalden said: I do not have v5.1 installed yet, but I would like to know from others if these observations are correct or if they do not see them ..... Unfortunately, the improvements to EA seem limited. The flickering/pixellated edges are as bad as they were in HF2, and objects still show through the haze/clouds. Fortunately, the hideous post-sunset/pre-dawn colors have been fixed, but moonlight is still way too bright. The WaveWorks bubble is still tiny, and the water beyond it is still a blurry mess with oversized wave patterns. Plus, now I get lines of flickering white pixels on the surface at low altitudes.

Gerard...unfortunately in my first couple tests I am still seeing many of these same issues from the Beta version with many of them being the reason I kept EA Beta turned off. I am curious how HiFi will implement their weather for this version and if we will at least have smooth transitions.... October 28, 20205 yr So far the posts have been very disappointing. I'm in the process of doing a complete reinstall of P3Dv5 as I went it to be completely clean. Hopefully it's not as bad as people here seem to suggest. October 28, 20205 yr So disappointed, held out hope that this would come good eventually but this is simply not good enough for a professional product- I really have no choice but to go back to v4 now as its has the tools to make the sim look nice. All hope sits with MS and Asobo now for 2020, didn't think I would be saying that but P3D is just not moving quickly enough to be anywhere near competitive

October 28, 20205 yr Sorry to hear. I'm so glad I stuck with P3D v4.5 HF3. It really doesn't matter too much since I hardly use it. Too busy enjoying the new sim. MSFS
October 28, 20205 yr This isn't sounding good. I keep looking for a reason to go P3D5.x and it doesn't materialize. Too bad; guess I saved some bucks and a lot of heartache.
