November 11, 20205 yr I’ve done a few flights with the latest version of the G1000 mod and it looks to be working fine with this update. Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
November 11, 20205 yr Before I start a dedicated topic, anyone able to advise on this...? Having not fired up this PC yesterday, I was ready to have to update MSFS today. ran Windows update (Defender and cumulative updates), restarted PC and checked again (no more updates), then I cleared the Community Folder, just to be safe. Microsoft Store shows that the sim was modified today (version 1.10.11.0). I double-checked by checking for updates again. Finally, I tried to start MSFS and go the following message instead: Quote Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001 Obviously, I was signed in the Store. There are some suggested fixes here but first I'd like to see if anyone has experienced the same and how they fixed it. EDIT: SOLVED. Turns out it was Gaming Services acting up again! I tested by trying to start other games which require Administrator permission to install (as that's always linked to Gaming Services in my experience). The first game threw up the same error, but the second one loaded MS Store at the page for Gaming Services. Despite it stating it was installed, it also showed a "Get" button instead of the "Install on My Devices" option I usually see. I clicked on "Get" and after a few seconds I was able to start MSFS with the button in the Xbox App. Now, fingers crossed for the update installation...🤞 Edit 2: Update installed in under 8 minutes. Hopefully that's the last of my issues, at least until the next update. November 11, 20205 yr I've been extremely fortunate with the installation of all of the updates so far and yesterday's update was no exception. No issues have come up. (I've probably jinxed myself now...) Unlike the last update, this one didn't reset my graphics settings. The one visual difference that I've noticed is with clouds at night. When lightning strikes, the clouds are brightly lit up and appear extremely pixelated before fading down. It happened with the previous update but now it is even more pixelated. I have the cloud settings on "High", which is the highest setting available. Alexander Alonso

You can actually set that in the weather menu, did this today out of curiosity over northern Italy via the tool bar. You can even set snow density and it looked pretty good for a start, mountains in white and snow on taxiways etc Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

They just cant seem to not break something every patch. Yes I noticed that too, maybe not as pronounced but it's still there. AP for descent and approach also still completely messed up. Impossible to set and hold a V/S descent, insists on going back to managed mode or whatever it is and dropping at a passenger vomiting 5000fpm. Holding 3200 feet turned to intercept the localiser and it just initiated a dive into the ground (was still below the intercept for the glideslope). Oh and the uncontrolled spinning cockpit dials and knobs still very much present. So sadly not really much in the patch for me, here's hoping the next one addresses more of the key issues..

If you have limited the speed inside the sim in the data section and the download of the update surpasses that speed, it goes into a loop. To complete the download and be able to access the sim again, you have to limit your download speed with netlimiter. Then remove the data speed cap inside the sim for the next update. Yes, should have been addressed by bugsobo on day 1 since I read about this problem many times. Yes that was the case for me that if the speed exceeds the limit set in the sim it would loop. But there could be other factors at play which causes the problem for people who didn't set an in-sim limit. Regardless, and I know the the sim still has its fair share of bugs and issues (in fact I myself have encountered the reported large city multi-second stutter-freeze issue ever since the second patch (1.8.30) that can be frustrating and even rendering the sim un-flyable at times, causing me to fly less these days), but continuously calling them bugsobo (or any other insulting names for that matter) doesn't really help anyone. 😅 Edited November 11, 20205 yr by Honnli Steven Intel i7 950, Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB G1 Gaming Edition Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6GB, 12GB RAM, HDD SSD

In NVCP, try setting output color depth to 10bit and dynamic range to full. Just did a flight north of Queenstown and this is what it looks like - no real pixelation in the ground or clouds. 1 hour ago, Honnli said: I myself have encountered the reported large city multi-second stutter-freeze issue ever since the second patch (1.8.30) that can be frustrating and even rendering the sim un-flyable at times Have you tried with multiplayer set to off? And maybe confirm your rolling cache settings. The default path seems to have changed for some, and also the limit sets itself to 0 (even if the setting is enabled). Found the sim works best with the setting disabled as long as there's a solid streaming connection...good luck.
November 12, 20205 yr All I can say after reading every update thread is I'm so glad I bought the sim on Steam and don't have to deal with the Microsoft Store. Seems like nothing but a huge hassle. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals

Seems like nothing but a huge hassle. Most of the "hassle" results from people using the default install options and accepting the default location for the community folder which means you need to jump through hoops to save or modify stuff. If when installing the MS version you nominate somewhere else for the packages location it more or less works the same as steam.
November 12, 20205 yr Played MSFS tonight. Quit for a little while and restarted the game, now suddently it's updating to 1.10.11.0 again. I thought it updated yesterday but I was having issues with Xbox whatever, so I guess it didnt update correctly yesterday??? Also, I dont understand why it didn't decide to update until 9 pm this evening despite I played it at 8 pm without having to update... Edited November 12, 20205 yr by NightOfDreams

Yep I have tried with multiplayer off, live weather off, photogrammetry off, rolling cache off and even tried reducing my graphics settings and disabling Azure ATC but nothing seems to solve the issue. These stutter-freezes (some lasting up to 10-15 seconds where the sim just hangs and the the CPU and Manipulator utilization goes completely idle according to the dev mode FPS display) seem to happen around the same areas in the area I've used as my test area after each update (around the Melbourne CBD area to the south east of Melbourne Airport ICAO YMML if anyone wants to give that a try). Someone on the MSFS forums also mentioned these stutter-freezes around the Melbourne area that's been happening for them since the second patch. So I've basically resigned to the fact that the sim still needs further optimizations and have been flying in less dense areas while eagerly waiting for the next patch or two. But thanks for your suggestion anyway. 🙂 Edited November 12, 20205 yr by Honnli Steven Intel i7 950, Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB G1 Gaming Edition Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6GB, 12GB RAM, HDD SSD
