But they fixed the giant hole in Brazil! 🙂

Guess we know where they got the dirt to fill it with!

You've got our weather from 2 days ago then haha.  Maybe 3.  Saturday I went flying with my friend and it was maybe 70 in KMSP.

Better not Ryan - just going to get some rain tomorrow - weathers looking good for a quite a while - take what we can get here 😞

Try to name any game where the map is 24,000 miles to get back to the starting point. I'd say the map is about 2,000 times the size of most games.

I don’t understand why the size of the sim should matter...

In my simple mind it is easy. File A, B, C should be added. Files D,E, F should be updated and files G, H, I should be removed. They already know which version you have and what you have purchased through market place. They don’t care about what’s in your community folder.

Clearly I am missing something because I have never seen so many complaints for any update process.

Correct. The depth of the game or sim makes no difference to the update process, They have an issue in the delivery of the updates... it is not just me. Many people have had problems for awhile now. I had to google all sorts of work arounds and got it working. The Sim is great... no problems. But the updater needs to be updated!

Just finished a 90 minute VFR flight from KBLM to NY55, (Neofly), in the182T.  Prior to this update I was having the same problems as everyone else with the Carenado aircraft.  This flight, no problems that I can detect.  I’ll try the Mooney tomorrow.

Some AA / TAA improvements?

What about the clouds?

I find the sim is really looking great, Currently at FL260 over Northern Ontario in the TBM and the clouds look awesome, I did still apply the sharpening tweak, overall it's looking Sweeeeeeet

Performance seems pretty good as well, Not sure if they did something behind the scenes but it is smooth

No problems here, at least at Scapoose OR.  I just checked to see if they had acted on the ZenDesk report I filed a couple updates ago.  It's a beautiful place to fly from, but the taxiways at KSPB are...challenging.

The bridge at the Everett factory is a bit challenging too...Screenshot-98.png

Wow! My update is continuously progressing but has so far consumed more time than the original MFS installation in August.  I checked my connection with Speedtest.net and my connection is confirmed at full 100 mbps.

Check whether your settings were reset. Clouds and AA look good here. No longer need high SS in 4K after the last two patches.

It's not ready yet fellas...

What happens if you pause or cancel the update?  I have a 100 mbps connection. Speedtest confirms I am connected at that speed. And I am seeing update progress at a fraction of 1 mbps.  I had done a fresh cold boot before starting MFS for the update.

This could take a week at this speed. I am concerned about implications if I just quit and start over.

Yes it is, they made it in a way that the limit set for the simulation messes up the download of the updates in a perverse way, it just keeps resetting the download of the same file. I found a workaround which is described in the very post you quoted.
BUGSOBO confirmed.

Why would you set any kind connection speed limit in the sim itself? Would you not want the connection to be as fast as your ISP is capable of providing?

I have 200MB connection. The update completely downloaded in 1 minute, 55 seconds. Average download speed was 95MB, but it hit 115 for a few moments.

Well this update went a lot smoother than the last one.  No CTDs thankfully.  One flight down and no issues to report.
