461.92 Nvidia Driver

Featured Replies

Anyone using the 461.92 driver have any comments to make on MSFS performance?

I'm not expecting any miracles but some improvements might be nice, though difficult to judge when it's been a stutter fest for the last week.

I did read a comment from someone on another forum saying he's got a 5-7 FPS improvement, but will take that with a pinch of salt until others are saying the same thing 🙂

Yes it's good especially for RTX 3000 series and VR.

It's excellent!  My stutters in MSFS have gone from 11 FPS to 12 FPS!

In case some of you in this topic have missed it, you might want to engage with NVidia and contribute:

It totally messed up my surround with three monitors.  I switched back to previous drivers.  I have an ASUS RTX2080ti so maybe it was optimized for the 3 series cards.

Is this sarcasm or is it actually good In VR? I’m still on that old driver that worked.

No sarcasm at all Ian, but I've been on the newer drivers for a while, so I can't really compare with 457.30

For over a month now some Youtube VR channels have said to roll back to September 2020 nViidia drivers. Maybe this new driver will change that advice soon?...

I must admit that I thought that those drivers which seemed to be tweaked especially for MSFS were a little smoother.  I'm tempted to roll back rather than forward TBH.
