It's not a "visual degrading update" based on the information shared with us from the beta testers in this thread, if the 3rd party developer implemented all LODs for their objects.  The problem is if the 3rd party developers did not implement all LODs for their objects because they didn't follow the SDK.

Partially, but wasn't Bijan mentioning that objects not being in the line of sight, e.g. on the screen, are aggressivly unloaded and need to be reloaded again when you pan around? This would have NOTHING to do with addon devs not using proper LODs and it would affect fully default scenery equally...

I cannot explain why this explanation is wrong without breaking an NDA, and I can't even possibly say if this a real problem or not, because it's even possible the issues you might have read about this won't happen in the 27th release, since it's possible the release won't be the same as the last Beta.

So, let's wait a few days to see how the final release will be and THEN, assuming those LODs issues you read about ( or experienced first hand with 3rd party products, if you have the Beta ) will still be there, I will be able to tell you exactly why your assumption about this problem being caused by developers not following the SDK is incorrect. In fact, it's quite the opposite.

This tapeworm topic is starting to look like speculation and guesswork race. I suggest close it and open it on July 27 because there is probably too much nerve :).

Sure, we will find out at the July 27th release then.  My assumptions are based on some of the comments from the beta testers in this thread.  Obviously, I hope what the beta testers disclosed won't be in the final version released for July 27th.

Right!

There is a good reason why people have to sign a none decloser, one good reason is untill release the product can have bugs and will have bugs, it just wont be right, the comany that made you sign that none decloser dont want you telling the world that "this is wrong" " that does not work" etc, why? becasue there working on it, its NOT finished.

Shoting someone down that reports all the people in here shouting there months off, need reporting, becasue I dread to think if say, you was a PMDG beta tester and posted on here how the NG  VNAV was cr@p and it did no capture the GS in beta testing. They would sue your @ss off and rightly so.

Its in beta grow up, and wait to we get the "release" version then make a new topic on all the problems and at least then we all can see the same thing and not what some beta leaking news that could well be fixed on release.

I just despare at how people bash something they have not even seen and throw caveats in to cover they very own comments.

constructive criticism is good but  for crying out load wait to see what we get on the 27th first. If then I see things i dont like I will be all in on the criticism, until then.....

I would go as far as saying that the leaks are a good trial balloon to test the water.

I had no idea you were advising the British government for the last 3 years 🤣 (not to get political of course... for non-UK readers, most details of the Brexit deal and Covid restrictions were leaked days in advance to test media outrage and/or get the public use to the idea, and then the actual announcement was sometimes tailored to account for the observed reaction)

Not in the UK only, an universal and, I suppose, old as the world, politician trick. When you want zero leak you set up the proper environment.

We know that the product is not final and that makes commenting the leaks all the more useful 🤣. I mean besides being fun.  All this secretive beta has no sense in this particular case. There is nothing that I see worth to protect (IP, innovation). MS has been massively toying with the public opinion for two years but just doesn’t want the public to toy with them so to speak.

Nobody (well almost nobody) bashes anything in here. I see some flags which are raised by some honorable developers and concerns from users. Nothing shameful.

Its nobody or people are, you cannot have it both ways, its just like all the caveats to cover they very own comments. If people think its fine to brake a contract they signed, well we will have to agree to disagree.

If you broke one with a big dev like PMDG I dont think they would share your idea of "being fun"

Anyway thats the last comment from me in here, Clearly i dont share the thought that this is "fun" and "chinese whisper" games on how bad the sim will be come the 27th and we are all going to be so angry with it. I will load it up see what gives enjoy the gains and having the Tree LOD back. Then I will make informed jugments on what I see myself on the Release version.

The amount of caveats to cover they very own comments is "funny" becasue the same people are going to say " I told you it was going to be bad" or " I told you it was doing to be all fine" /roll eyes....

I believe the "popping" of taxiway signs were revealed and discussed in this thread and people were panicking that something will be broken in SU5 for 3PD products.

Do this :  go to FAFK - spawn on RWY05 - just taxi slowly forward and you will see the "popping" in action, and that is with a stock airport.

So what is the fuss all about ?.

Have a great weekend.

I do not condone leaking, just say that it is, in this particular case, a venial sin (Jeremy invoked the love of G_d no less so I speak of a sin), that MS knew that would happen.  I do not prejudge the state of the game on the 27th, knowing that we have had unwelcome surprises the last 11 months with updates.

Got the low refresh on the G1000 it seems. This is one of the things I cannot stand. It feels really bad when the instruments stutter.
